My PS3 unit is 2 years old: Slow moving lines on game screen.

Just recently, slow moving lines have appeared across my game screen for my PS3. I checked the connections in the back as well as regular cable connections and there are no loose connections. I'm using the regular connections the unit came with. From my online research, there may be a problem with these connections from the unit to the back of the TV.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Easiest way to figure out what the problem is by taking your PS3 to another TV with a different set of cables.

Maybe you've got a freind or family member with a system.

If you get the same problem, then it's the GPU chip on the motherboard.

Let me know what happens.

How can I stop my HP laptop from making these low, growling noises whenever I watch videos for a prolonged time?

no computer stated, just LT. no OS stated, XP to W10.
there are like 33 years of LT. now. vast HP laptops. made.
2yo old can be, you bought it new, or is new to you but real old
only the model number puts age to it. (for sure)

slow PC, are they not all slow? (some say so,)
"when I watch videos or play games."
what video's DVD, saved MP4s, live streaming videos off the internet, like netfix. or what games, PC solitaire or $60 steam games
or a on line streaming game as seen on STEAM. (free)
we cant guess any of that nor what is BOTTLENECKED.

lets say you said , I have tiny game in my pc that is slow
why? (clear no? lets even name it, Duke Nukem retro)
top reasons.
my guess the growling is inside the headphones and not the HDD crashing. (bad) if PC is new and SSD now's that time to say it
or full pc model.#

1: pc is slow, it was cheap and slow,.(upgrade time) gamers, nightmare...endless.....
2: pc is infected, as most are. reload windows (is it windoz?)(
3: pc has failing HDD.
4: PC is overheating.
5: worse there is always worse. (pretend long story here, endless)

White line across screen

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.

Take it to a repair shop.

PS3 streams my internet movies in slow motion

This could be any number of problems. Perhaps a little more information would be helpful in solving you problem.

  1. What Streaming service are you using?
  2. What type of connection? (WiFi or Ethernet cable)
  3. If you are running WiFi, have you recently power cycled your router?
  4. How old is your console?
  5. Have you recently updated the firmware?

Toshiba regza 32hl67 losing its' picture and motion is slow

I have a toshiba regza 32hl67 LCD tv which is only 2 1/2 years old. The picture on this unit just started to go the other day (screen darkens but images are still visible and the motion/movement is very slow). I contacted Toshiba and they just said to unplug the tv for 3 minutes to reset the tv. This doesnt work. I am VERY upset with Toshiba, after paying $800 for a tv that only lasted 2 1/2 years. If anyone has had similar issues and know how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks

Slow moving lines up screen

I noticed the same lines on my 32" Sylvania LCD. After playing with some electrical plugs, I found that having my Sony PS3 plugged in interfered with my cable quality. When I unplugged the PS3, the lines and slight humming (only noticeable from behind TV) went away. I tried making sure the cable line and PS3 power cord weren't touching but to no avail. I guess I'll just leave in unplugged while watching TV.

System shuts off and turns to red light standby

Hello. You may want to double check your connections and cables. The only time I've ever heard a clicking before a system shut it's self down was when a kid had stuck the battery cover from a TV remote into the disc drive.
Also, if the PS3 keeps acting like that, Sony will repair/replace the unit for free including shipping since it's under a year old. Thanks and good luck!

Slow moving images on screen

either the TCON board or the panel is bad. Sony supplies the two parts as a unit so you will have to have them replaced together. Hope it is under warranty because it is expensive

Interference audio and on-screen

Try an HDTV. If you only have a standard TV, try a different one. I had the same problem and then bought a 1080p 16:9 aspect ratio HDTV and everything cleared up completely (sound and video). Update the ps3 to version 2.2 as well (just came out last night). Good luck!!
