SOURCE: Banging while spinning

slid the machine out away from the wall and tilt back enough to see underneath. just below the door there is a large concrete weight. chances are it is loose and needs to be tightened. if this problem has been going on for a while the bolts holding the weight on will have snaped and the drum/weight or both will need replacing . There could be an unbalanced load of laundry being washed or the drum bearings are loose and need to be tighten or the filter is blocked in your washing machine.

GE front load is making loud banging noise during spin, any ideas how to fix?

Sounds like what happens in a top load when the load is "out of balance". I suppose it's less likely to occur with front load. Test with a "light" load. Is the washing action a reversing action? If so there may be a transmission problem.

Wash machine won't spin all the time and makes a loud banging noise.

Check to make sure that your clothes are not piled to one side causing the load to be off-balance. If that does'nt fix it then, It may be that your machine has a balance stabilizer on it that has worked its way loose or even off.

Hi, our washing machine started making very loud banging and whining noise in the final spin cycle and the machine was shaking. We have taken off the back. The springs look ok. any suggestions?

Loud banging is usually an unbalanced load. whining noise is some times debris trapped in drain pump causing it to squeal like a fan belt on a car. Strings, threads and hoses tend to get wrapped under agitator and cause noise, too.

Very loud banging noise when spinning

sounds like a balance problem may be when the drum was replaced they didn't fit the new drum in the correct spot the other thing that would cause load banging and excessive vibrations in the machine is if the shockers are worn out,
believe it our not even washing machines have shockers to dampen the movement of the drum spinning
