Sony bravia KDL40S20L1 Lost complete video. Still have audio.

First, unplug all wires/cables from the back of the television including the power cable. Then plug the power cable in and using the power button on the television, turn on the tv and hit the menu button on the side of the television. I

f you have a menu, it could be a simple fix (meaning there isn't a bad board, etc).

You could also use the remote control to try to enter maintenance mode to see if the screen works.

Make sure if your remote has four little white buttons under the power button, select TV

With the tv plugged in and OFF (this is standby) press the following four keys in order within a second of each other.

DISPLAY / 5 / VOLUME + / TV POWER

When the screen comes on (even if black) press the JUMP key quickly once or twice.

if you see a menu, the boards should be okay. If not, might be a little expensive or you didn't press the buttons in time.

In general, if you see a menu on the screen, the lcd board and the electronics involved with making a picture should be okay and it might be loose connections

I need a code to program a remote for a sanyo tv

all you need to do is press the code search button until the red light is on then press tv button...then point the remote at the tv and continue to press the power button until your tv turns on/off...then press enter. Be patient...it may take any wear from 2 or three clicks up to 100 clicks....but it will eventually operate your television....be careful though...if you press the power button even 1 more time after it turns your tv on or off...you will have to start all over....Good luck! and if this doesnt work..you can always buy a universal remote from any department store..some are as cheep as 5.00. and they all come with program guides.

Sieki television code for dish network

I don't show a code for that brand of TV, however, you can perform a power scan to see if you can find a code on the remote that will work. Power scan instructions below...

Remote: Basic Remote (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the clear TV button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
  3. Press and release the red TV Power button.
  4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow button once every second on the remote until the television turns off.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the OK button.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.
Hope this helps!

I got a universal remote for my sylvania flat screen tv. I was testing the "mode" on the remote and then the next thing I know my tv begins flashing colors red blue green white and I tried to...

I think you accidentally turned on some kinda of test pattern. Try pressing the Input button on the TV itself or the menu button. Sorry that is the best I can do.

I am wondering what the code for my bell controller to turn on my tv and do the volume on my T.V thanks Nick

These steps should be performed with your TV on.

Step 1:
Hold down the "TV" button on your controller and wait for the other buttons to light up.

Step 2:
Let go of the TV button. It should start to flash.

Step 3:
Press the "POWER" button and the "TV" button should turn solid.

Step 4:
Press the "UP" arrow on the remote until your television turns off.

Step 5:
When your television turns off press the "#" button on the remote to save the code into the remote.

If everything is performed correctly the "TV" button should blink three times.
If not repeat the steps again, sometimes even if you think the controller got it right it actually does not.
