I know the machine gets into the spin cycle. I can see the tub start to spin fast (with no cloths in tub) at first, then it slows down and eventually stops. If I reach my hand in the tub and help it to spin, it will start spinning, then stop again (the tub spins freely so the brake is not engaged). When look under the machine, the belt is spinning fast, and the main tub pulley is spinning fast, yet the tub is not spinning. There is NO noise, so I venture to guess it is not the transmission. I would guess that the spin bearing is worn, but once again, there is no noise at all. SOmething is slipping bad but making no noise, and the belt seems to be fine. I even used some belt dressing to see if it would catch, nothing changed at all.
Thanks!
Check the spin clutch

Where is the spin clutch located? Is this the same as the spin bearing? The only clutch I know of is for the water pump. I thought the main pulley connected directly to the transmission (with a spin bearing), and the direction of the motor determined whether it's the spin cycle or wash cycle. Thanks.
