SOURCE: scanning document leaves streak down right hand side

Backu

Thanks for the tip...the problem is NOT a black line but a wide yellow line on the right side of the paper. It starts out about a quarter of the page in width and diminishes in size to about a half inch in width after many repeated scans.

The glass IS clean , and even when the glass had some smudges here and there, I never had a yellow stripe problem!

Scanner bulb is bright and even the entire length of bulb (no dark areas) so I don't think it is the bulb!

SOURCE: I have black streaks on my copy

Before you installed the cartridge was it in the box standing on end, If so remove the cartridge from the printer and gently shake the cartrige from side to side then reinstall, the toner may be packed mostly on the one side.

SOURCE: how do i stop my printer from leaving ink streaks

This is either coming from the toner cartridge or the fuser unit. 90% of the time a print quality problem on HP laser printers is caused by the toner cartridge. Try swapping it out first. Even if you have to shake up and re-use an old toner as a test. If swapping toner cartridges does not change the problem then it is the fuser. You can verify this by printing a page and turning off the printer before the page exits the printer. By removing the page from the printer you can see if the streaks are there or not before it goes thru the fuser. If they are not then you know the streaks are being applied to the page by the fuser. The fuser is the part that gets hot and is located right where the paper exits the machine.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

SOURCE: HP LaserJet 1320 Printer Problems & Solutions

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

My Lexmark C543DN prints with yellow streaksprinter, as you'll see...

Clean the drums on the cyan and magenta developer units with alcohol on a cotton ball. Swipe the damped cotton balls left and right and let it dry, then turn the drum about 20 degrees and repeat until you have cleaned the entire drum. Keep the units out of direct bright light and sunlight. You may also need to clean the transfer belt (black belt inside the front hatch) and rotate that to ensure clean all round. Try your print again.

Lexmark c540n creasing paper

First, check the quality of the paper you are using. The fuser will heat the paper, it tends to give a wrinkled effect on the paper. Try a new ream of good quality paper, and if it still does the same, the fuser itself might be causing the issue and you might need to replace it. Hi. Im having problems with the printing, every 4inches or so, on the right hand side of a printed page, the printing is very faded.

sounds like you have a bad drum... if you roll the paper in a cylinder and match up the faint spots you get the aproximate diamerter of the drum... call up lexmark support and see if they have a drum refresh option on their machine...

Lexmark laser printer leaving a white streak 2-3

take a q-tip and clean the scanner window. this is located in a 3/16' opening on the roof of the printer cavity it will be about 8inchs long. pull the toner cartridge and feel with your fingers on the roof of the cavity this will be located above the transfer roller slightly towards the front of the printer. white lines like this mean the laser is being blocked usually by a bit of toner or other dirt of some kind

Why does my epson stylus 1400 leave streaks in the print?

The tracking wheels (spiked wheels) can pick up ink and lay it back down. They can also accumulate debris that collect ink and put it down in the form of streaks. This is especially true if you use dusty or moist papers (or frosting sheets).

Scanning document leaves streak down right hand side

Even a single grain of dust or a single strand of hair on the scanning glass will cause the scan head to perceive ink/image where there is none. Deffinetly try cleaning the glass using a good window cleaner, and a cloth that is completely clean, or even a peice of newspaper. If the black line remains, I would suggest taking it into a service center to have the scan head itself cleaned.
