I am willing to bet that you may have a faulty thermistor in your fuser asssembly, I wouldn't bother replacing the thermistor, your best bet is to just replace the fuser assembly and this should resolve your issue, so replace the fuser or call someone to do it for you. This should resolve your issue.

How to reset fuser unit in printer hp laserjet 4250

turn the printer off for at least 20 minutes, then cycle power. If the 50.2 fuser error occurs again, you may need to replace the entire fuser assembly OR you will need to replace the power supply.

Regularly getting error code 50.9 on a HP color laserjet 3550 printer

Hey Joe,
This is what the HP Website has to say about it:

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Verify the fuser is properly installed and fully seated.
  3. Turn on the printer.
  4. If the message persists, contact HP Support.
BUT! you can try performing a cold reset, and maybe this would help:
500, 3550, 3700, 4600, 4650, 5500, 5550, 8500, 8550, 9500) use the instructions below. 1. Turn the printer on.
2. When the memory starts counting on the control panel, press and hold the green SELECT button. Continue to hold green SELECT button until all three Control Panel LED's are illuminated and on solid.
3. Release the green SELECT button.
4. The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE.
5. Press the DOWN ARROW button until control panel displays COLD RESET.
6. Press green SELECT button. The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.

Good luck!

I am having printer quality issues with hp laser jet 4250n. All the words are blurry.

Replace the Fuser, it is behind the back door Part # RM1-1082.

Remove back door and push two blue tabs on fuser, remove and replace.

The printer is HP LaserJet III . Please - what means the message "50 service " on the panel ? Thank you! MP

A 50.4 code is bad line voltage. Don't plug it in a surge protector.
Any other 50 error is a fuser problem. Turn the printer off for at least 10 minutes. Power it back on. If the error returns, replace the fuser.

Our laserjet 4250n printer is making a awful noise when we try to print. Can you please help?

This series of printer has an inherent fault with what they call the Fuser Swing Plate. It's a small metal plate that contains a couple of cogs, one of which drives the fuser assembly. HP found that the fuser drive cog on his plate encountered excessive wear and would then cause a sometimes, quite loud whirring noise from the back of the printer. The only way to get around this is to have another, new, updated Fuser Swing Plate fitted to the printer.

HPLaserjet4P - printer service 50 -

Hi,

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.

HP LASERJET 4250n PRINTER-PROBLEM WITH PAPER JAMS AND "FUSER ERROR"

Put a maintence kit in your machine, easy install, everything just clicks in, Every 200 000 prints it should be done, it includes the fuser, all feed rollers, sep pad and transfer roller.

These are great printing machine, they only ever need the MK and on this model a fuser drive gear wears and get noisy, but once that has been done once, it is ok from then on.
KIts seem expensive but they are meant to last 200 000 prints and usally do. These are one of the best most reliable printers in the market.
