My tv will not turn on
Look on the center circuit board and you will see two green Pico fuses they look like resistors but they dont have any bands on them . They will have F9A04 and F9A05 on the board next to them. Check them with a ohm meter if those fuses are open you will ned new convergence ICs. Thats the first thing to check are those two pico fuses when you get a 22 error on your model.
service manual will give you the way to check the codes:

here you can get the Ic convergence chips:

The fuses i was able to get from MCM:

About 70 bucks in parts,
Priceless is the look on your friends faces when you answer their question what did you do to fix it and you say I replaced the Horizontal and Vertical convergence IC amplifiers.
Don't solder in the kitchen ! ! !
Skill level required to do this job is high. there are 16 pins on each amp to solder, a bunch of conectors to remove and put back, and a huge heat sink associated with it.
SOURCE: The TV was working great
When the power light comes on and then goes out, on the front of the set press both the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time and hold them both in for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.
The power light will blink a 2 digit error code and repeat it at least 5 times.
The most common error will be 2 blinks, 2 blinks- a pause and then it will repeat it for a total of at least 5 times.
To get it to repeat this--you have to unplug the set, try to turn it on again and repeat the process.
The error codes are to try to narrow down where the problem is.
Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.
If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.
Post comment here if I can assist you further.

TV used to shut down ofter random amounts of time. Time got shorter and shorter. TV had to be unplugged in order for tv to come on again at later time. Still shut down like it was on a timer. TV now just clicks on and off, no picture. Can this be fixed easily, a reset? If so how do I reset the tv?
Does the power lt come on for about 2 sec then you hear a click and it turns off? All the while no pic on the screen?
