Exerpt taken from Dell Laser 1100 User Manual (p30)

1 Open the front cover.
2 Pull the used toner cartridge out and lift it up and away from the printer.
3 Unpack a new toner cartridge. Hold the cartridge carefully and gently shake it from sideto-
side 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner.
4 Pull the tape to remove the protective paper.
5 Locate the cartridge slot inside the printer, one on each side.
6 Unfold the toner cartridge handle and grasp it. Insert the cartridge into the printer until
it snaps into place.
7 Close the front cover. Make sure that the cover is securely closed. If it is not firmly closed,
printing errors may occur.

The unit in question takes a Toner cartridge not ink as in an ink jet printer. Most replacement toner cartridges come with instructions for proper installation. Good luck and have a good day.

SOURCE: remove and replace ink cartrige

  1. Write down the printer name and brand.
  2. Remove the empty cartridge and check the writing on it. If it has any bold and big numbers on it, write these down.
  3. Go to office supply store and give the clerk your notes.
  4. Make sure you get the right one and take it home.
  5. Check to be sure your printer is on.
  6. Open your printer's lid.
  7. Take out the old cartridge and put inside a small ziploc if you want to.
  8. Dispose of the old cartridge. Or if possible, have the cartridge recycled.
  9. Unpack new cartridge and place inside the printer.
  10. Print a test page.
  11. Reconfigure printer heads for best quality.

SOURCE: Low toner advise keeps on after changing toner and/or printing

Have you tried to unplug your printer and plug it back in, that will force the printer to re-check all its settings and it should notice that the toner is now full.

Black Cartrige Missing

Did you use a brandname ink cartridge - or is it a knock-off brand? If it is a brand name - then the cartridge is most likely defective. If it is a knock-off brand - some printers do not recognize the electronic in the cartridge and therefore don't see it as one being installed.

After installing new ink cartrige , low ink warning continues to appear. why and how do i fix this issue

Using generic or refilled Dell Series Ink cartridges will always give the low ink message.

To remove the message, try the Dell Series brand from Walmart Staples or Dell's website.

Newly installed print cartriges not identified by printer. Indicates cartriges ink levels are low and they aren't!

I have had this problem, if you do not use Dell cartridges it will always tell you that the ink is low. Take no notice as it will go on printing just the same!!

Replaced cartriges with remanafacuter. Front

Try removing all 4 ink cartridges and unplug the power.

Close the ink cover, leave the ink cartridges out and then plug the power back in.

Once the printer boots up completely, reinstall the cartridges

Printing blank paper

At a guess you've bought a compatible generic cartrige. I had a similar problem different printer.

I had to by a genuine cartrige, worked fine. Contacted the generic cartrige provider, explained the problem. Returned cartriges and got refund no problem.

It looks like the generic cartrige makers are seeing some solutions to chipped cartridges but not all.

Dell 926 injection refill kit didnt work

The ink your purchased is likely a cheap watered down version of what your printer is meant to take. You may notice that the ink smears when you rub the page directly after printing. Why you chose to use the blue and red ink to make black blows my mind. These refill kits are insanely cheap and buying the black could not have been much more. Not using black ink in the black cartridge would explain why your print is faded. Also, there is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. As long as the printer still prints, just ignore the ink level indicator and print until the ink runs dry. I recommend Cartridge World for ink refills because they use high quality ink to manufacturer specified volumes while still saving you money.
