I INSERT TAPE IN PLAYER, IT STARTS TO PLAY, THEN PLAYER SHUTS OFF?

Please don't post in all CAPS Myra, it is considered SHOUTING, rude and is harder to read.

All question need full 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words in every question.

Audio cassette player, video cassette player, DAT Tape player, video camera player? You see the problem? It needs fixing by a qualified technician, it is not a home fix. Overheating, microswitches not operating when the tape is inserted. Logic board faulty. It has to be 20 to 50 years old?

Why does my tape reject just after inserting?

Generally some part of the mechanism has become damaged and so can't perform correctly. It can't even unload correctly. You have to look around for plastic parts that have either got broken or out of place. New parts then need to be ordered. You will also need a service manual to set up the mechanism correctly once it is fixed. VCR's are rarely set up in the eject mode!

The door those not close when I put a cassette in it. I closes normaly without a tape. Does anybody know this problem ?

alot of cassette tape deck doors actually come off, they clip onto the inner door assembly, if the outer part isnt clipped on correctly, it may shut without a tape, but not with a tape inserted, try to see if the outer door is clipped on there correctly, jim d

How will I insert the cassette tape into it???

You have to eject the tape drawer. Refer to your manual to find out which button performs this function. There is usually a button or achieving the tape drawer eject. Be careful to insert the tape the correct way, or you can damage the drawer.
Not knowing the make or model of the device, I cannot give more specific instructions.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

We put a new tape into the cam corder and the screen has turned blue. What can we do?

Hi, first check with old tape that the tape is getting played or not. If its working fine there may be two problems with the new tape:
1. Either the tape not inserted properly.
2. Or the tape is defective.

Also, try to clean the head of the camcorder with cotton bud before inserting the tape. If nothing works from the begining. The head of the camcorder is to be shown to the service centre for checking the correct operation.

Hope ur problem gets solved in the very beginning.

Correction Tape

Two possibilities, one the correction tape is twisted and the wrong side is .facing the paper. The shinny side should be facing you, the dull side facing the paper. Second possibility you must make sure the ribbon is compatible with the correction tape. There are 2 types of ribbons. A correctable one (orange or yellow knob) and a multi strike (blue or purple knob on ribbon cartridge). The lift off correction tape (orange or yellow spools) only works with the correctable ribbon and the cover up correction tape (blue) works with the multistrike ribbon.
