LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

I washed a medium weight jacket and after the Speed Wash was complete, the jacket was still soaking wet. I put it through the Rinse/Spin cycle two times with the same result. Then I put it through the Spin Only cycle, and the jacket was still soaking wet. I watched the cycle, and it seemed to spin very slowly, not fast enough to get rid of the water. How can I speed up the spin?

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

Why are clothes dripping wet after final spin?

There is a balance sensor in the machine that checks to see if the load is distributed for high speed, When that sensor goes bad, the machine wont spin the water out of the clothes. YOu need to check for spares

Washer not draining

Probably the pump filter needs cleaning.
It should be located at the bottom front of washer behind drop down cover, turn anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

I have a Fridgidaire front loader. It completes the regular wash cycle, but clothes are soaking wet- it's not doing the final fast spin. When I select the drain/spin option, it drains and eventually...

Either an off balance load (unlikely if it happens all the time), a bad door switch, or a bad motor control board. Easiest repair is to try replacing the door switch, failing that, i'd call someone in to test the speed board.

Wet clothes

the reason the clothes are wet is the washer is not shifting to high spin, does the washer have a speed switch(normal wash spin, high wash spin)if its not the speed switch than the clutch is bad,how old is the washer?mike

Can you adjust the water level on the LG Tromm WM1814CW? The water level when washing and rinsing is so low that the clothes are barely wet when the washer has finished.

No. Water level is not user adjustable. The washer will automatically put in the correct amount (about 3 inches in the bottom of the tub) and adjust for load size and type. This level is all that is needed. The reason the clothes are hardly wet at the end of the cycle is due to the high spin speed (compared to almost all top loading machines). If you want to see how wet the clothes really are, pause the machine mid cycle and the door will unlock and you can see, or select a "no spin" option and see at the end of that cycle. You will use about 12 gallons of water for a large load, vs. about 45 for a top loading machine, so remember to adjust your soap and fabric softener use accordingly. ( one tablespoon detergent and one teaspoon fabric softener maximum per load)
