Hi, I have a Humax F2 Fox T set top Box. I have been using it with a Scart cable to a Bush digital television. This has worked fine. I had to move the TV and disconnected all the cables. When I reconnected the cables. The set top box and the TV would not communicate with one another. Can you tell me what I have doen wrong. Please could you email to me a copy of the F2 Fox T users guide. Many thanks, Philip Rowley email : [email protected]

Hi Philip,

You will need to check your SCART cable, that is the most logical point of failure. The manual can be downloaded from the Humax support website:

My HUMAX free-view set top box seems to crash after it's been on for about thee hours, then reboots it's self in about four minutes. any ideas?

This device has a fan that will turn on when the temperature of the internal hard drive reaches a certain level. The problem may be due to a faulty sensor, fan or both. here's a forum for this hardware that may be of help: http://hummy.tv/forum/forums/hdr-fox-t2-freeview-recorder.13/

Is bush tv rf2185ntxsil digital or analogue?

Hi, If it does not say digital then it's not. You need a PVR which will decode the digital signal (set top box) Some TV's have digital and analogue tuners built in which is good too. Your cable company or dish network will give you more info for watching great TV.

How to connect an LG26LE3300 TV to a Humax PVR-9200T and to an Inventive DVD video player? These worked fine with my old TV using scart cables but not with the LG.

You will see the colored jacks on tv. There should be a print by them that says out. Match the colors from the jacks on the tv to the same colored ones on the Humax. The ones on the Humax should say input or a/v or dvd, or phono. From the dvd player, match the colors from here to the tv. The tv should have another set of 3 colored rca jacks that say imput on them.
From DVD Player out to tv in From tv out to Humax in/av/dvd/ ect.

Hi, I have a 32LG3000 HD tv with software version 3.47.1. I just bought a Humax FoxT2 HD free view box but when connected via hdmi to the LG tv a message briefly comes up on the tv saying invalid format...

I , would try using another ( alternative connection) from your humax , say the scart cable just to see if it , the humax is ok. then if tv has more than 1 hdmi skt try it too, if still not working retry upgrade firmware route

I have a Panasonic Tx l37S10B tv set, & a PanasonicDVD recorder,DMR-EX768EB. To ensure I receive true HD i have bought a Humax Fox T2 hd Digital receiver. I use these items to receive & record HD...

Hi,

You didn't fully expain how each device is connected to the others. I don't think you have this set up correctly. Your DVD cannot record in HD so there is no point sending an HD signal to it - it can't process it. This is how I would set it up:

1. Install a 2-way splitter on the input cable
2. Connect output 1 from the splitter to the Humax receiver
3. Connect the Humax receiver to the TV with an HDMI cable
4. Connect output 2 from the splitter to the DVD
5. Connect the DVD to the TV with SCART cable.

This will enable you to watch HDTV via the digital receiver and also provide an input from source (dish/cable) to your DVD player so that you can record.

If you've already set it up this way then it should work. I suspect you've connected the Humax to the DVD and TV and also the DVD to the TV.

Please try this setup and post back if you need further assistance.

We have a bush set top box with no instruction book. one channell Win (9)is indicating ''no reception'' We were told by a local TV repairer to re tune our tv. How?

Hi
You should not have to re-tune your tv as the set top box will be plugged in via a scart lead so its the set top box that needs to be retuned.
Go to the menu of the set box and select new installation under features or set up.
Hope this helps
