Mitsubishi 55859 Blinking Green Light

have you tried holding menu button down for ten seconds... sometimes the front panel gets locked

the DM capacitors need to be replaced. Very common problem You can get the correct repair kit at the following link for your model which contains the capacitors and the instructions on how to do the repair.

You have blown capacators in your DM board. Here is a video that I used that guides you step by step video instructions for repairing TV. Bought the capacators at Radio shack for appx. $2/each.

You can find the parts (capacators) at Radio Shack for appx. $2/each.

The green light on the front blinkes and does not stop even after hitting re-set button.

the power supply to your picture tubes may be bad

My tv did this, if you unplug it for a couple of days, plug it back in and push the reset, my light quit blinking, but it took about 1 to 2 hours

Check any/all fuse devices in power supply.Let me know.....T.
By the way,the tv serial # is 107543. I assume the model # is
as stated==WS-55859.

You need to change the seven capacitors on the DM power supply board (inside the metal case on the left where your DTV tuner connects)They are 1000 MFD 16 VOLT capacitors and the tops are probably bulging outward because they are leaky- this is a common problem.When you lost power,the TV had to reboot itself but because of the leaky caps it never will and the green light keeps blinking.As long as you never lost power or unplugged the set the TV would of still worked.Once you change the parts and plug the set in the light will blink normaly for about a minute and when it stops blinking you can then turn on the TV.
