Blinking green light

Electric went off last night.   reset does not help.  cannot restart tv

  • Anonymous Dec 11, 2007

Power went off while we were out, came back on and got the blinking green light. As others, tried all sorts or resets w/wo power, etc. Nothing. Pulled back off cabinet. Where power cord goes in, there is a 10A fuse. Of course, it was fine. Diagram says there are at least 9 other fuses. I see them labeled on various boards but none of them are visible. I know what a fuse looks like. So either these are hard wired into the motherboard or ??? they are underside the board (why would they put them there). Every fuse is labeled on the board but the 10A fuse noted above is the only one I can find. Will leave power off for a couple days and see if anything changes....anyone know where these fuses are that are on the label in side the cabinet but not otherwise visible?

Having same problem. Check fuse, it is fine. Tried same kinds of things with no luck as yet. Will leave it off for a couple days and see if anything changes. Nearest service is 100 miles and you have to take it there.

My tv did this, if you unplug it for a couple of days, plug it back in and push the reset, my light quit blinking, but it took about 1 to 2 hours

I have a HDTV 1080 and the power to our neighborhood went out over the night and now the green light on the TV just blinks. I can't get the TV to turn on. I have reset the system reset button on the from...

try this ... if there is a reset button on your 'front' control panel..maybe 2 - 3 positions to the left of your blinking timer light..
try inserting the tip of a mechanical pencil or tip of a straighten paperclip into the 'tiny hole' of th ereset button ...hold pressure on that button until yout blinking light starts blinking RAPIDLY .. this
rapid blinking should continue for several seconds or a minute.
then it should stop .. may even go off ... now ..hopefully.. you will be able to turn your set on

Hi.
The TV is in protect mode because there is an internal fault.
The TV must be tested and repaired at component level.
Call Mitsubishi at the number listed on the user manual.

Green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

Green blinking light will not go off

You probably have bad capacitors in the DM board assy. These are going to have to be replaced. There are also surface mounted fuses, two of these inside this board. If you do not know how to solder on printed circuit boards, and work with surface mounted components, play it safe and call out a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck.
