Print size I love my Canon iP1600 but the print size is too big and the lines of print are not regular - it creates paragraphs not in the original text. How can I change the size and the format, please

Formatting of text is not a function of the printer driver, it is dependent on the program you are printing from. If you are trying to print Internet pages, you can either change the text size before you print (Click on View, Text Size, and then select a smaller size), or you can use the Easy Web Print program that came with your printer (as long as you are not using Internet Explorer 7). If you're using IE7, use the File, Print Preview option and you will see what your printed page will look like before you print it.

One other thing to check; make sure that the iP1600 is set as your default printer.

How do i trouble shoot waste ink absorber full in a canon pixma ip1600

Solution: Ink Absorber Replacement Options iP1600

Ink Absorber Replacement Options This printer has an ink absorber that takes in ink during the printing and print head cleaning processes. The cleaning process is necessary in order to keep the print head nozzles from becoming clogged. Over the life of the printer, the amount of ink that the ink absorber has absorbed is calculated by the printer. Eventually, after substantial use, the printer will enter an error condition when the ink absorber is nearly full. At this point, printing is still possible by pressing the <Resume> button on the printer. To protect the printer from damage, you will not be able to print at all once the ink absorber is full.
Canon recommends having the printer serviced before the absorber becomes full. We are aware that there are many "do-it-yourself" Web sites that offer instructions for making this repair. Replacing the ink absorber is a complicated and potentially messy procedure. Even if the ink absorber is successfully changed, the ink absorber counter must be reset. Be aware that if you attempt this procedure, it is at your own risk.

I have just had new hewlett packard computer and now printer is only printing very faded photos, also the printouts from internet are v small print although I have zoomed the them on the monitor.

what you have to do firstly is to make sure the ink supply is ok
After , when you print photos your printer must be maintained regularely as ink does clog up the nozzles and need to be cleaned to have a decent printing result .
When you print something you have to make sure you select ( out of the printing window the size and view you want . zoooming on the monitor will not help unless you tick " print viewing page "
check all this and see how you go
