Any ideas how to remove side panels ? There appears to be a screw stopping me from removing the panel.

Is it concealed under the plastic/rubber foot?

I would like to be sure before I do any damage

Appreciate any advice

I have taken the screws (2 on each side of the back) out and taken the lid off and just pryed a bit from the back, enough not to break it, and seen the front just needs to be off a bit

HOW TO DISMANTLE A SONY VAIO PCV-W SERIES DESKTOP COMPUTER

Start by depressing the button on the rear panel and sliding off exposing any memory modules.Peer between the lower locating lugs for this panel and you will see that it has revealed two black cross-head screws.Take out the screws and release the small panel. This will now expose the four gold colored anchorage screw for the screen and keyboard. Now unplug any i.d.e, sound and visual harnesses between the two units.Using a long phillips screwdriver, take out the four screws and give a small wiggle. The screen and keyboard will come away from the main desktop, place to one side. Now turning the desktop on it's back release the two cross-head screws underneath and slide the foot off.Now take out the six silver screws from the front of the unit and the two either side of the unit.Their are also two screws concealed underneath the rubber lugs on the rear of the unit, carefully pop these lugs out with a blade or similar and remove screws. The last two screws are black and are located in the small recesses on the top of the desktop outer shoulders.Once all case screws are removed gently release locating clips on top of the rear casing and ease the main casing away from video and pcmcia panel on the side, place to one side. This will now expose several black screws,First release the side cover and put to one side.release the three retaining screws for the hard drive unplug molex(power) connector and i.d.e cable, place to one side. Now unscrew the three black screws on the top retaining plate of the desktop and the two screws on the lower shoulders. You can now gently ease out the entire motherboard assembly unplugging atx connector in doing so.PLEASE NOTE:JOT DOWN THE WHEREABOUTS OF SCREWS FOR RE-ASSEMBLY.

My Canon Pixma MP130 keeps giving me the 5100 error. Can't even complete the nozzle print test. The ink cartridges do not appear to be jammed as they move. What is the problem? Please help.

Turn off printer.
Remove both the cartridges from the printer. Use a clothe moistened with alcohol to clean the surface contact on the cartridges where the terminals inside the printers touches.
Return the cartridges and turn on the printer.

Error 5100 means that the cartridge can not be detected by the printer.

Hope it helps!

Canon Pixma MP130 error 5100

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Canon pixma MP130 is not working

The cartridge seem to be jammed at the extreme right end of my machine. Pulled the ribbon to bring the cartridge slots to the centre. Then removed the cartridges. Unplug the power behind. After a minute, plug back the power. Load back the cartridges. Printer resumes back to working mode.

Philips 50PF9631D menu panel

The control panel is fairly straight forward to get at.

Reove the stand from the tv, and lay the tv, screen down, on a flat surface. You should lay a cloth of some kind to prevent scratching to the casing.
Remove all the screws from the central metal plate on the back. You will need a torx T10 driver for these screws.

Carefully remove the plate. Note any cables which may be attached.

Remove the screws from the outer back casing and remove the casing.

The control panel is held in by two screws. Remove the screws and re-position the control panel. If the control panel is damaged it can be replaced.
