hello, when you say after connecting to AOL 9.0 internet connection is lost, do you mean aol explorer doesn't work, or do you mean IE stops open pages and it was openning before starting AOL? if you close out your AOL does IE then starts working? or tell me what do you have to get it working again?

HI, Follow the steps below to configure your computer for wireless connection:

If your computer has windows XP then perform the steps below:

1. Right click on My Computer icon and go to Manage.
2. Go to Services then go to Service and Applications.
3. Double click on Wireless Zero Configuration.
4. Change the Start Up Type to Automatic and click on Apply
5. Click on Start and press OK to close the window.
6. Go to 'Control Panel', Click on Classic View in the left hand side menu and then open 'Network Connections'.
7. Right-click on the wireless Network Connection icon and select 'Properties'.
8. Go to the 'Wireless Networks' tab .
9. Check the option 'Use Windows to Configure this Wireless Connection' and click 'OK'.

Now please perform the following instructions to connect to the wireless network:

1. Go to 'Control Panel', Click on Classic View in the left hand side menu and then open 'Network Connections'.
2. Right-click on the wireless Network Connection icon and select 'Properties'.
3. Click on the 'wireless network' tab.
4. Under Preferred networks if you see any name in the list then highlight the name and click remove. Click OK.
5. Right-click on the wireless Network Connection icon and select 'View Available Networks'.
6. Look for the SSID (aka Network Name) of the Wireless router or access point.
4. Highlight thee SSID from the list that you want to connect to.
5. Type the security Key here and click on the 'Connect' button.
6. You should have successfully established a wireless network connection.
For Vista, perform the steps below:

1. Click START, Click Control Panel then click classic view in left hand side menu.
2. In the main screen, open up NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER.
3. In the left hand side menu open up MANAGE WIRELESS NETWORKS.
4. If you see any name in the list, please select the name and click remove.
5. Once the list is empty, click on ADD, select the first option, ADD A NETWORK THAT IS IN RANGE OF THE COMPUTER.
6. Click on your network name SSID and click on connect. If you have a password setup on the router enter the security key.
7. This should setup the wireless network.

Reload your software given with the router.
Fallow the instructions and you should have no problems.

You can try first resetting the router , to do this press and hold the reset button of the router for 15 seconds while power is ON and then after that run again the setup cd of the router..........

Hi, It is just a problem with your AOL software may be your AOL software file is corrupted because of which you are not able to get the Login page. No worries if you have windows Xp then : Close All and come to the main screen of Computer (Desktop). Click on Start the Click on All Programs. Then Click on AOL and look for AOL System Information. Then you will get a Small popup Window of System information check for Utilities Option in it and Click on it. Then you will get One Click Fixes. Click on Open. Then look for Quick Restore and click on Fix it for me. Thats it. Once it will me completed Restart your PC. Then Try login to AOL it will give you an option Existing member select it and click on Signin it will ask you for your Screen name type in that and you will be login to AOL. :)
If Windows Vista then :
Uninstall your AOL and after that restart your Computer. then go to internet explorer and type in as www.aol.co.uk/downloads and press Enter. You will get an option to download AOL 9.0 VR latest AOL software. It will give you 2 options Run or Save click on Run. Click on it and wait till it is installed on your PC it will take arround 30 min. then follow the same thing to login for the first time. :) For any futher problems please revert.

Hi, You will have to open ports on the router for XBOX and for this you need to have a computer connected to the router.

1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari)
2. Access the router, usually with http://192.168.0.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com.
3. Login to the router (Username = admin Password = Password unless you have changed it)

Create Services for the ports on the router:

1. Click on Services under Security.
2. Click on 'Add Custom Service' button.
3. Specify any name for the service (for example, XBOX1).
4. Specify the Start and the End Port as 88.
5. Click on 'Apply' button
6. Follow the steps 2 to 5 to create the services XBOX2 for the ports 3074.

Open Outbound rules for the services created using the steps below:

1. Click on 'Add' for outbound services.
2. Select the Service as the one that was created(like, XBOX1 in our case).
3. Select Action as Allow Always.
4. Set LAN users as Any and WAN users as Any
5. Set Log as Always and Click Apply
6. Follow the same steps for other services also.

Open Inbound rules for the services created using the steps below:

1. Click on 'Add' for outbound services.
2. Select the Service as the one that was created(like, XBOX1 in our case).
3. Select Action as Allow Always.
4. Set the 'Send to LAN Server' as IP address of the XBOX
5. Set WAN users as Any and Log Always
6. Click Apply. Follow the same steps for other services also.
Click Apply on Firewall Rules Page.

Step 1:
Setting a Static IP Address for your 360
The first thing we need to do is give your 360 a static IP address. Turn on your 360 and go to the dashboard. Once you are at the dashboard, go over to the "System" Blade and select "Network Settings".


Under the "Network" Blade, we need to select "Edit Settings".

If your tests show everything as stated above, congratulations, you are ready to play. If not, you screwed up and need to go back and read the directions again.

The default login details and IP address for your Netgear router can be found on the bottom of the router.
Open your web browser and in the address bar type the IP address you found on the bottom of your router.
You should then be asked for your login details.
Once logged in you can setup your router as normal without the need of the CD.
