Have you first established the connection between the Router and the Extender?
If so, have you connected e.g. a laptop to the Extender?
So if your WLAN networks SSID is NETGEAR, the WLAN network of the Extender is NETGEAR_EXT and you have to connect the laptop to NETGEAR_EXT.
Then you have to open your favorit internet browser and have to type in www.mywifiext.net, which I guess is a buildin Setup-Assistant.If this doesn't work, make sure, your laptop is configured, to get an ip address automatically via DHCP.

Cannot find wep key on net gear dg834g v4

to find the wep key of a netgear router, you first need to ensure that you are connected to the netgear router. after ensuring that you are connected, open a browser, internet explorer or firefox, type 192.168.1.1 or www.routerlogin.net it would now ask you for a username and password. username is " admin " password is the word " password " itself. you would see the netgear page next. click on " wireless settings " on the leftside of the screen. there you would see your WEP key on security options

I have a prsario 2100 notebook with a Belkin wireless g notebook card I am tryin to connect wireless through netgear router and it is not working

configure the netgear router.

connect the net gear to the internet cable.
see back of the router for information.

and then configure the net gear. and the usermanual of the netgear.
