By connecting to your existing WiFi network and enhancing coverage, the NETGEAR range extender enhances your home WiFi network. The steps below will assist you in setting up your extender. We recommend using the Nighthawk app to set up your extension on our latest devices. See the following articles for more information: https://pnews.org/boost-your-speed-with-netgear-nighthawk-r7000/
With the unit disconnected, remove the top cover to reveal the fuse, which is located near the large capacitors, diodes, and power transformer netgear r7000 speeds supports both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless frequencies, . I believe the issue with your receiver is more serious than a blown fuse. Check for a short circuit before replacing the fuse. If there is a short circuit, especially in the power amp section (which is frequent to fail), replacing the fuse without testing it may make the situation worse.

Not the best gaming router out there would not use it for battlenet or war 3 to boot. I would get linksys gaming router by linksys. But to solve you problem you need to run your computer in dmz gamming mode also try any new firmware out there and see if that helps if not part with the netgear and get a linksys gameing router you be glad you did.
Usually, a device will renegotiate a slower speed to compensate for interference. slower speeds are sometimes the most reliable. Its possible to change your wifi channels and try to get one that has less interference, and maintain a stronger signal. You might also want to ensure that any cordless phones in your area are NOT on the same frequency range as your router, because as soon as "Old Great Aunt Mildred" calls you or your neighbor, your wifi goes bye bye.
Have look in the router settings for the actual internet connection speeds, as these are a more true reading than the speed check as the speeds can vary at different times of the day and 2 or 3 speed checks can bring different results.
your actual connection speed that is showing in the routers settings is the connection you are getting from your ISP.
If you are with BT they usually recommend using their latest routers, why i'm not sure, as the only thing i have noted is that the MTU is set at 1500 (Maximum Transmition Units)and in other routers the MTU is automatically set at 1493, so look for the MTU setting and up it if necassary, but not above 1500, also double check all the settings, even put the bt router back in and see if speeds improve, if, you know the BT router is set up purposly for faster connection speeds.
Also try checking your speed at a speed test site at a quieter time of day, you will also see different speed check sites give you different speed results.
