Use a timing light to determine if the problem is the plug, or the wire. Hook the timing light to the suspicious wire, and see if there is spark, or if you don't have a timing light, stick a spark plug in the wire and turn the engine over to see if it sparks. If you have spark, then it pretty much has to be a faulty plug.

I have a 97 Dodge Dakota that I replace the fuel

OBD Tools 365 Days Shop for car repair.

Find out if the engine is getting gas to it. Sometimes a plugged fuel filter or a problem with the fuel injectors can prevent the engine from getting any gasoline. To check this remove the air cleaner and smell inside the throttle body or air cleaner housing. If the engine is getting enough gas you should be able to sense a strong gasoline smell due to the amount of uncombusted fuel left inside the intake manifold.
Determine whether the spark plugs are firing. If there is plenty of gas but no spark, the engine will crank but not start. Unplug one of the spark plug wires and plug in a spark tester. Have a friend get in the car and crank the engine while you watch to see if the spark tester illuminates. You can usually purchase a spark tester at an auto parts store for about ten dollars.

I was driving and i felt the car pull back (like cuting out) and then the car turn off while driving...the car still has gasoline; I tried to start it again but it won't start it only cranks but like i...

After you have tried to start the car for a while, remove a spark plug and examine it. If the tip of the plug is not moist with gasoline, then the fuel delivery system probably is the problem, possibly a bad fuel pump, stopped up fuel line, or water in the gasoline. If there appears to be some gasoline on the plug, put the rubber boot back on it and hold the base of the plug against metal on the motor or frame while someone turns the key into the start position while you watch the electrodes of the plug. If you don't see a spark in thirty seconds, that is the problem. It could be that the coil has gone bad or there is some other problem in the ignition system.

Well, a tune up which consists of a new air filter, new spark plugs, and spark plug wires can save up to 10% in gasoline.

My suv wont start, there seems to be no problem with tha fuses or anything else. no prob. with the starter, no prob with battery, it has gasoline. I really don't know hat it is.

From what you say the engine must be turning over at a normal speed. You need three things to start: fuel, spark, and compression. Check for fuel by removing a plug after trying to start and smell it for gasoline. Test for spark by leaving the plug removed and reattaching the spark plug wire and pressing its ground electrode to a metal ground. Insulate your contact with the plug and then have an assistant crank the engine while you look for a spark at the plug.
