My Mitsubishi split aircon stops after a couple of minutes, and green operation light flashes. I have checked filters and timer, both OK. Will turning it off at the main switch board reset things?

your main board more so the pipe sensor connected to it, is defective. if the pipe senor can be changed it will work but in most cases the whole main-board will have to be changed as well.

Mr slim ac shuts down and restarts to frequently.

Changing the setting won't affect the way the unit works, only how long it runs for. Rapid switching off and on will kill your compressor in time - check the refrigerant level. Usually short cycling on lp switch.

Mitsubishi heat pump blows cool air when set on 70 in heat setting. It will be 3 years old in January.msz-fe18na

Cooler than normal discharge air temperatures are kind of nature of the beast for an inverter compressor system. An inverter compressor has essentially an infinitely variable output due the varying speed of the compressor. When is is running slower the transfer of heat is less than when it is running full bore. At least on a mild day. On a cold day, even running at full speed, the leaving air temperature can feel a bit cooler due to the lack or heat available in the outside air to transfer in to the indoor coil. The Mitsubishi's are capable of running down to 5 degrees above zero without the addition of a low ambient control kit and the nearer it is to that temperature, the lower the leaving air temp will be. There's only about three more 300 page VOLUMNs of information available to describe the function of these little guys, but maybe just a taste of the info will satisfy your concern. Of course what's written above is a very Cliff Notes version with a lot of holes in the description.....but you get the drift.

What type of refrigerant should be used in a Mitsubishi ms09tw 2001 air conditioner?

The answer is R410A. Refrigerant Types in a Central Air Conditioner There are 2 different types of air conditioning refrigerant currently used in residential cooling systems. R-22, commonly referred to a Freon and R410A, a blend considered to be more environmentally friendly, sometimes called Puron. R410A (sometimes known as Puron), is the industry's choice to replace R-22 in central air conditioning systems. It is less reactive with the environment while having the same home cooling characteristics of R-22. R410A is not interchangeable with R-22-you choose one or the other and your air cooling equipment is designed to operate with it. When you purchase a R-410A system, a new line set is included with your central air installation as well as a new evaporator coil. Our experience with R-410A has been excellent. New cooling systems have been dependable and efficient, as well as operating quieter! R-410A is the refrigerant of the future! Less reactive with the environment Replaces R-22 in the year 2020 Cannot be used with R-22 systems Quiet and dependable Freon, R22, heat pump refrigerant R-22 also known as Freon has been used for decades as the refrigerant in central air conditioning systems. However it has been linked to Ozone depletion and has therefore been banned from being manufactured after the year 2010. It's price will increase as the supply decreases. Good luck, Marty

I am not able to get the unit to change from air conditioning to heat

Unfortunately these units are not user fixable , beyond checking for power and checking battery in remote. You would need to call a pro who is able to get service information and has special digital logic meters to diagnose and repair .

The air conditoner will not turn on the remote works but the unit itself wont go on is there a fuse in it

The newer air conditioners have a button on the actual plug. It is a reset breaker switch. Try pushing the button on the plug while it is plugged in. (Assuming it has one)

Mitsubishi A/c remote control has no instruction manual

That is the mode setting.

The triangle is "I feel" mode. You adjust up or down according to how you feel

The star is "cool mode"

The wind or fan shape is for the "fan on/off" mode

And the rain drop is the "dry" mode to lower the humidity in the house.
