The compressor seems to run

Hi,
Is this not cooling??? Or are you just worried about the noise after it shuts down??
Comment back and be more specific about what the problem is....the noise you are hearing after it shuts down is just the refrigerant pressures equalizing after the compressor stops... that is normal. If it is not cooling properly then it is also probably low on refrigerant and has a leak in the piping somewhere...that would need to be fixed and the system recharged...

You will need to remove the front cover and access the drain pan to clear it. then wipe it clean and follow it up with a bit of hot water and bleach . then allow it to set fora few minutes and follow that up with more Hot water to clear it out . If you are upto it you can put a cloth over the hose and blow a good breath up against the hose. then back away as you might get a bit wet. also check the filter and service it while you at it.. hope this helps .. please let me know jon

Ms24wn/mu24wn--the unit won't stay running.

Hi melder909,
My expertise is on the tv, however I will try to help you because I have a copy of a service manual. Steady flashing of LED light stated there that theres a mis-wiring in the outdoor unit(page 28), check/tighten the wiring as much as possible. The service manual also has a guide flow chart(page 35) fixing this symptoms and it is to long to write here. Do you have an email add, I will send to you a free copy of the service manual.

Clean mold from inside wall unit

Hello,

Cleaning mold from your air conditioner is a simple process. However, it requires some special supplies. Before you begin cleaning your air conditioner, gather a vacuum cleaner, a long brush, de-greasing cleaner and cloths or rags. You will also need a container for waste. Follow these steps to clean the mold from your conditioner:
Step 1 – Remove the Plate Filter Using a screwdriver, remove the front plate filter from the air conditioner system. You may wish to clean the filter with dish or laundry detergent and water. Simply allow the filter to soak in a small pan of diluted detergent.
Step 2 – Remove the Plate Having removed the filter from the front of the plate on the air conditioner, proceed by removing the grill plate itself. Continue by removing any other metal coverings, exposing the inside of the central air conditioner.
Step 3 – Brush and Vacuum the Inside of the Air Conditioner Using your brush and rags, clean the dust from the inside of the air conditioner system. Ensure that you remove dirt from every crevice inside of the system. Be careful not to break the delicate pieces inside of the air conditioner.
Continue by de-greasing the inside of the air conditioner. Allow the de-greaser to stand for 15 to 20 minutes before gently washing the inner pieces with warm water. Ensure that water does not come in contact with any of the electrical workings.
Step 4 – Vacuum and Drain Excess Water Before returning the front plate and filter to the air conditioner, carefully vacuum the inside of the air conditioner system to remove any remaining dirt and mold spores. Using a cloth or towel, soak up any excess water that may be left over from the de-greasing portion of the cleaning procedure.
Step 5 – Reinstall the Plate and Test the System Carefully ensure that all pieces of the system are not bent or broken, and then reinstall the front plate. Test your air conditioner to ensure that it runs smoothly and without loud noises.
In order to best protect the quality of the air in your home, perform this mold cleaning procedure about once per year. This will not only serve to improve your overall health, but it will also prolong the life of your air conditioner considerably.

Take care.
