Seems that the signal reciever will not take acommand from the remote or any other remote. how can i reprogram it. the remote is ok.

Try erasing all of the codes and then reprogram. If it doesn't reprogram it's your circuit board

RFA means radio frequency actuation. This usually indicates one of your key fob batteries are getting weak. They work off RFA, by remotely operating your door locks thru radio signals. Its best to change the batteries in both remotes at the same time. They shouldn't, but not always need reprogramming. After replacing the battery, simply press the lock and unlock buttons together to re-synchronize the key fobs.

WHEN YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY NO NEED TO REPROGRAM THE REMOTE.
THE FLASHING LIGHT TELLS YOU IT IS SENDING A SIGNAL THAT IS BEING RECIEVED IT IS JUST NOT THE CORRECT CODE TO OPEN THE DOOR.

this usually means that the remote did not recieve a signal back from the module or the module did not recieve the remote signal
have you tried repeatively to press the unlock button? does the remote starter work or aux( trunk ) ?
also when putting the battery in the remote , be easy because there is a connector plug soldered on the board real close to where the battery is , and if it is hit by the battery hard enough it will cause those solder connections to disconnect and you will get the beeps and or other malfunctions

a component in the wall unit is failing , that makes the conection happen when the remote signal is recieved , ( it is recieving the remote signal but not sending it out to the control circuit for the motor )

sounds like the reciever is getting hot? try bringing it to a local radio shack dealer and see if they will have there techs. look at it.

If its the original remote for the VCR then NO there is no reprogramming for that device as its built in. You may need a new remote and its available at http://www.remotes.com
