I have a hitachi camera model HDC-1291E. When I click for a snap, it is automatically powered off. It happens more when I use camera flash. How to get rid off this?

Try replacing the batteries, it is evident the camera is not getting enough power, especially when you run the flash, this should address the issue.

How do I stop shadows on my subjects faces when photographing outside

Force the flash to go off, this will get rid of any shadows on people. If it's bright outside, the flash won't fire automatically, you need to force it.

Help!!!

The best way to avoid red-eye is to have the flash as far away from the lens as possible. If you can mount an external flash onto the flash bracket, use that instead of a built-in or pop-up flash. Similarly, you can use bounce mode to make the light fall on the subject at a different angle/direction from the lens.

DSCH9

Guys - I just recevied a new H9 today. Was using it and decided to turn the flash off. Later on I wanted to turn it back on and I got the famous "flash settings cannot be changed" error message. I found the problem. I had turned on the "continuous shooting" option as I wanted to see how fast it would take photos continuously. When that option is on, you cannot use the flash so therefore you cannot change the flash settings. I put the camera back in "single-shot" mode and now the flash works fine. I hope this fixes your issue.

Thanks, Ken
