I have the Olympus e-410 and I cant get the pictures to upload to my PC. I have connected it and have gone into easy print and normally that works. I have even had to turn the camera off and on a few times and then it will kick in but it wont do any of that this time. I cant find the manual and it was my husbands camera before we got married and he only upload once before that. HELP!

Turn of "AF Illumination" and it will get rid of it and not cause you other shooting problems.

In the menu of your camera, set "Auto Pop Up" to Off! Flash won't strobe anymore like this, but you might get into focus-troubles (which could mean having to focus manually...)

Each time I press the shutter button to take a picture the flash keeps flashing fast on and off 3 bursts of about 10 flashed then it takes a pic ??? help

The built-in flash can function as an autofocus illuminator. This helps with focusing in low-light conditions in the AF mode.
To disable this function, press the menu button, then select service1 menuitem, then AF illuminat., and finally, select OFF.

Internal flash not working on olympus e500

The Xenon flash tube in modern strobes rarely 'burns out'. I would guess that a switch that is activated when the flash pops up is not working properly. More info can be found here: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/olympus-dslr/159660-e-500-built-flash-not-working.html

Olympus E510, Flash Flicker

If you are in a low lit area with the camera dial set to Auto the flash will do a strobing type of flash trying to help allow more light into the scene. This is called the AF illuminator function. To just go ahead and take the image, put the camera dial to P (program Auto) go to Menu - go to Wrench 1 tab - then right arrow over and then down arrow to AF Illum - right arrow and turn this function from On to Off and then take the image in the P mode setting. No flash flicker should occur.

Olympus evolt 410

this is when the camera doesn't have enough light for auto focus! to suppress it, disable the option "auto pop-up" in the settings menu of the camera. you then might risk unsharp images but strobing won't happen until you manually pop-up the built in flash.

to get rid of the whole thing, you can buy one of the olympus e-system external flashes like fl-36 or fl-50. these bring a red-light for auto focus assistance.
