SOURCE: loss of bass frequencies in dynamic mics

That's one correct assumption, but it's actually the element that gets damages causing the coil to rub. Open the top up and see if there is any damage, sung a magnifying glass as the tiniest crack could go un-noticed by the naked eye.

In testing these 2 did you change the frequency at all? trying with a different receiver, having another mic on the "bad" mics frequency?

Loss of lows can also be a sign of a bad wire as this sometimes tend to act as a high pass filter.

Did you do the obvious, change batteries?

SOURCE: need the wiring diagram for a audio-technica

I believe on the 4 pin connector of the pack, pin 1 is shield/ground and pin 2 is low impedance input. One of the other pins is bias voltage and the other is high impedance.

In the UNIT I had, there was a connection diagram someplace in the battery compartment, either on the cover or the case. As I recall it had poor conrast to read and find it so check closely.

My mic wireless mic sounds like it has a ground loop hum when it is in standy mode and when it is all the way on. I've switched cables and batteries what could be causing this hum?

You could try another power adapter on the receiver, maybe this one blew the filter capacitor. I doubt your problem being the mic, rather check the receiver. Luck !

Changing frequencies on wirleless microphone

No, the ATW-R200 series are fixed-frequency units.
Short of soldering new crystals in, you're stuck with the frequency you've got.
