SOURCE: i have a, at-lp120-usb audio technica turntable

i think it has lost the drivers or something so i would just re-install it ,unplug the usb cable then turn computer off then restart computer and then when windows has fully loaded plug the usb lead back in and it should find a new devie and install drivers for it and it will search it memory for drivers ,find them and re-install them and off you go again ,computers are funny thing and often have a brain storm .

Pull the aluminum record platter where the record sit on and check to see if the belt off. If it is broke you may need a new one.

When connecting AT-LP120 Audio technica turntable to Onkyo stereo receiver TX-8140 I get distorted sound - the turntable came with set cables installed to connect. How do I resolve this problem

hi,

instead of plugging your turntable into "phono in" on the amp just try a regular auxilary input like aux ,video, or cd. sounds like the turntable output isnt like the old ones and may be just a regular output.

as long as you have balanced your tonearm correctly, maybe its simply just a problem with your vinyl? could just be dust in the grooves or could be static build up, try cleaning your vinyl with an antistatic cloth to see if the sound improves.

Hello

Check whether the drive belt is in position. If it has slipped out of the motor pulley, turn table won't turn when you push start button. Mke sure that power chord is connected firmly and the power does comes to the player. If drive belt is deteriorated replace it.
There is no other special faults to occur to the player. You have the manual and refer to its fittings. OK.

Will not turn on

With the power cord getting hot it sounds like there is something up with the power supply section. Perhaps a faulty transformer or something.

Lift up the platter underneath should be a belt (black rubberband) on the platter. Once you find it leave it there put the platter back on, pad off. With the player off put the belt over the brass motor spindle.
