Will not run, indicator lights do work - Haier Dehumidifiers

The flashing pause light on your DeLonghi dehumidifier indicates that the unit is in a defrost cycle. 1st ck that the bucket full light is not on , reguardless if bucket is m/t and in place , if light is on then the float sensor inside bucket container needs looked at , if no light is seen then it's common on new units to run the circulation fan all the time , and cycle the compressor on the humidistat's setting , reverify what the settings are for your room , std setting is 70%rH for a home , also a seperate meter to indicate %rh might help to determine if your unit is working properly (there not expensive) it migtht be that your room is dry enough and unit is not calling for water removal

Assuming you've turned the humistat all the way to the maximum dry setting, it's possible it's not humid enough for it to run but fairly unlikely. The humistat may need to be cleaned or replaced or the compressor may be low on freon. If it works in hotter temperatures this may indicate low freon. Freon pressure increases with temperature therefore if it's hot, the pressure inside may increase enough to satisfy the low pressure switch.

Clogged sensor with a mud. Clean it

The fan has to run or the moisture will freeze on the coil, try to help the fan motor turn reach in and the blade a flick in any direction and then pull your long skinny helper out and watch the fan it may just run or give you a idea whats up. They get dirty and I'm sure that it worked last time. Nothing fancy but it might help.

hello. If your dehumidifier doesn't seem to run often but the humidity in the room is high, try adjusting the humidistat control on the dehumidifier to a dryer setting. If the dehumidifier seems to run constantly, but there's little or no water in the container, there may be a problem in the refrigeration system. Try cleaning the unit. If that doesn't work, you can't repair the refrigeration system yourself, you need a qualified appliance repair technician to do that.
