Give this a shot:

Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back switch and remove the power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 minutes, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sync. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back switch up again. Then make a new network connection.

Try updating it by using your PC and a USB flash drive. Follow the instructions on the Playstation webite under the update quick click button on their main page.

How are you? To fix this, you must follow these simple steps:
Boot the PS3Turn off the PS3 to stand-by (push once on power button)Flip off the back switch I/ORemove the power cord from your ps3 Then shut off your modem/router for about 5 minutesTurn the modem back up first and give it time to sync again (1 minute)Then, turn the router back on (if you're using one) and let it sync too (30 seconds)Reconnect your ps3 power cable and flip the back switch up again. Then make a new network connection in the ps3 settings.
Try a system update now (second icon on the menu, then go up to system update)

Error 8002f149

This is an update error. You should have gotten this error while trying to update your system. The easiest way to resolve that I've found is to powercycle (unplug and leave off for about a minute) your modem/router as well as your PS3 and try updating again.
