SUD code still coming up after having changed the pump and cleaned the filter.

The Suds error is generated by not using High Efficiency (HE) detergents or using too much of it, or adding additives as well as HE like stain removers, Oxyclean or Calgon. Try a hot wash with no detergent at all. Towels are good, because in most cases, they aren't actually stained.

When you say you cleaned the drain hose, did you remove it, push a broom handle through it and then run a garden hose down it. I have a drain hose that had an apple stalk in it and it had gathered enough fluff to seriously constrict the flow of water.

This error code indicates excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. This could be caused by using too much detergent or not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent. The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds.Jun 16, 2020

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Machine displays error code F04,cleaned out pump, did not see any debris, machine is working but this has happened a couple of times in the last week.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

For a number of Bosch models 'F04' does state a 'drainage' problem. I would gently suggest following these (pre-typed) guidance notes to make absolutely certain that both the filter is completely free AND that the drain motor/pump is operating efficiently- see the last 2 paras in particular.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Buy another washing machine? Absolutely NO!

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. Many washers will not go to spin or release the door lock at the end if there is water still left inside.
Here are my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the filter and the motor ;-0)

I have had this machine for 4 years now in the last 12 months or so i have to clean out the drain filter at least once every 2 weeks if i dont it wont spin i have worked out how to fix that, back of pump...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

NO! There is nothing wrong with the filter- it is doing the job that it is meant to do.
The machine will not finish cycles knowing that there is water still in the machine; that's what it is designed to do- stop.
The cause of the filter becoming blocked frequently is that the items being washed are poducing the lint/fluff/and whatever else ;-0)
Make sure you are cleaning and clearing the filter completely each time, the pipe which goes to the drain motor AND that there is nothing restricting the impeller turning.

Please read my complete, general pre-typed guidance notes for checking filters and motors ;-0)

Mattag PSB 2151 Side by Side Fridge/Freezer. Water is dripping out at front corner under freezer side everyday. Defrost Thermostat?

Most likely plugged up defrost drain hole. Do you see any frozen water (ice) in bottom of freezer? If so then remove lower back wall of freezer compartment and use a turkey baster with some hot water to "plunge" the defrost drain tube till the water starts to flow. Clean up excess ice and away you go!!
Good luck!

Excessive lint on clothes and smell

There is many solutions that work some. The best analogy I have seen is to reduce the wash time as the newer soaps are more efficient at removing dirt which also softens the fabric. Any excess in soap regardless of type in combination with water type will cause an odor, why is the contaminents in the water plus the junk on are clothes to be polite. It builds up under the basket and along the top water line in the tub plus creates a film from the tub through the hoses, pump and house drain. Lint is a product of excess washing and too much soap. Whirlpool stated for there front loaders no more than two TBL of liquid soap which is like 3/8 cup max for the old top loader. SearsTechToo
