We fixed this by taking the finishing unit (tower to the left) and leaning against it so it had better contact with the rest the copier

SOURCE: display screen says: door/covers open close covers of relay unit??

I believe the "relay Unit" on that machine is the section that transports copies to either the finisher (if installed) or the exit tray on the LEFT side of that machine. Sometimes neither of these units are present, but the relay unit may still be installed.
There are 2 flip up covers on that section (left and right), and you will probably see that one of them (usually the left one) has come unclipped, or perhaps the plastic clip that holds it closed is broken. If you flip up this unit. You will see a black button at the back end that is engaged when ther unit is closed. If you simply pree this button with your finger, hopefully the message will go away - this may at least help you troubleshoot what is causing the "cover open" message). Even if the clip is broken, it is often just a matter of seating the unit correctly so that the switch is engaged when the unit is closed. There is also the same switch on the right cover that could be causing the problem, but this cover doesn't sem to get damged as often.
I hope this helps. Please let me know.

How do I reload staples into my Xerox WorkCentre 7530?

You did not indicate finisher? Xerox MFPs' come with the most finishing options of any manufacturer.... I included instructions for all of them below. Enjoy!
Solution : Load Staples in the Professional Finisher With Booklet Maker The stapler in the booklet maker uses two Staple Cartridges labeled R2 and R3. Booklet stapling requires that both Staple Cartridges be free of jammed staples.
WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the printer has stopped copying or printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

    wc7556-fin-pro-fnt-door-open.jpg
  3. Squeeze the orange R2 and R3 levers together and pull the Staple Cartridge unit out of the Finisher until it stops.

NOTE: The Staple Cartridge unit does not detach from the Finisher.

  4. Grasp the orange tabs on both sides of the Staple Cartridge and lift the cartridge out of the Staple Cartridge Unit.

  7. When finished, return the Staple Cartridge Unit to its original position.

  8. Close the Finisher Front Door.

WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the machine has stopped copying / printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

Reservoir Cover squeaks when opening and closing when hot. Bought unit at Costco.

The squeaking could be from the steam during the brew cycle. My first suggestion would be to wait a couple of minutes after the brew cycle has finished (after you enjoy your first, delicious cup) then open the cover. If you notice any warping or if the problem persists call Cuisinart directly.

Sharp mx2300n is telling me to close the finisher unit and finisher covers.....taken it out and put it back in again and its still saying the same thing?

If you have open and closed ALL covers then you probably have a bad door switch. Try turning the copier off (both power switches) and on again. If that doesn't work then you should call a qualified technician to look at it.
