Stopped mid cycle with the code F 05 flashing up, it has been tried since with the same thing happening. Not sure what the code means?

F05 means pressure switch jammed on full.
You need to locate and clean pump filter, if not at bottom front of washer, then remove lower rear panel, remove large black hose on bottom of drum, remove and clean filter inside hose.
Fit back and test.

Hotpoint washer/dryer aqaurius stopd mid cycle with message F-01

f01 is a motor short circuit. you will probably need a new one and maybe the circuit board that powers it if all the lights went out unless the fuse is gone.

not sure about the f04 code but if its still full of water try putting the washer onto a drain cycle if the water does not drain then your pump is either blocked or faulty to check if its faulty pull the washer outnow take the drain hose and place into a bucket low to the floor if it comes straight out then the pump is faulty what it is is they have a magnectic part which goes down if the water doesnt come out its blocked you will have to take the washer outside tip it backwards but dont put it on its back now undue the sump hose which is situated in the centre of the drum pull it the water will drain out now undue the 2screws under the pump pull out undue the pipes you should see the blockedge if not could be in the drain hose itself m8 let me know how you go on if the pump needs replacing shouldnt cost no more than £20
