It's the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card, allowing the camera (or any other device) to write to the card.

Write protection is a physical device that prevents you from writing or changing information on a disc. For digital cameras this is usually a "lock" slider on SD cards.

Try sliding it to the other side if your getting an error that it is write protected when you're trying to use the card. If that doesn't work please post your model number for your camera.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

My 6 month old camera does this too. It's a Olympus SP-600UZ. The SD card is not in "lock" position. My "Interal / SD" in my camera is set to "Auto". This happened a week ago and I got a new SD card and was able to use it twice and now it's doing it again.

Wat is s- protection on my lg home theater systerm

I'm not sure what specific LG home theater system you are referring to, but "S-Protect" is a feature found on some LG home theater systems that is designed to protect the system from damage due to power fluctuations or speaker wire issues. When the system detects a potential problem, it will automatically shut down to prevent further damage.

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My amp wont go past protect mode

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up (no protect light), the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down (goes into protect), the amp likely has blown output transistors.
