Wireless button on laptop has nothing to do with wireless mouse. Plug in your mouse receiver that come with the mouse in to a USB port on your Laptop. Turn on your Mouse and hold the reset or sync button on the bottom of your mouse for a few seconds, so that the receiver can synchronize with your mouse. Mouse should now work OK

Try installing the drivers for your hardware prior to plugging in the device. You should be able to do this with the CD you received with the product. Hi Thanks for the advice on fixing my problem. I solved it by googling the problem. The solution was to go to the 'set point' feature in Logitech and change the 'zoom' setting to 'other', then select 'middle mouse'. THAT WORKED. I like the laser mouse it has a real nice feel to it., and am super happy now i have a middle mouse button to perform commands in my modelling program......................regards julie
