DLG0332W LG Propane Dryer, intermittent heat problem? Heats in the morning (when cold). Any ideas?

It seems to me that there is a problem with your valve assembly . I would check the connectors to the valves there should be 2 coils in there those do funny things when thy are defective.

LG DLE4801W Dryer Won`t dry clothes in timely manner

You stated that you cleaned the vent but what most people do not realize is that pulling the vent screen out and cleaning it (and possibly even using those miraculous vent brushes to reach inside) is synonymous only removing the "tip from an iceberg".
If you are fairly confident in using some basic hand tools. I can almost guarantee that if you disconnect the dryer's power cord from the wall and remove the vent hose from the back, you are at the beginning point of removing ALL the lint from the dryer. Use a hex nut driver to remove the screws from the back of the dryer to inspect the exhaust chute that leads to the area where the vent hose is connected. (Be sure to "count the number of screws and put them into a tin can or other retaining device to keep from losing any of them). You should be able to see the entire compartment once you open it. Don't be surprised to find enough lint inside including the blower wheel to fill an average plastic grocery bag! Many dryer fires start in this area because most people do not know that so much lint collects there. I highly recommend that this easily accomplished task is done about one a year to keep the exhaust chute clean. It only takes about an hour to do the job very completely. Use a flashlight to inspect the entire area. Once you put the exhaust chute back together, test it again. I have found that this fixes most dryer heating problems when there is no error code. Doing it once a year is also good fire prevention maintenance. I am very curious about how much lint you find and if this fixed your problem. Please send me a reply. Thank You!

Dryer beeps while drying

Most likely you have an excess of lint hampering air flow from the dryer. Vacuum out lint filter area, gently remove aluminum exhaust duct behind dryer and make sure it is clear and debris free. Also check exhaust duct port on back of dryer and that the vent going out of your house is clean and not stuck closed or clogged.

Run for about half the cycle than stops. can restart and it will finish cycle.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

When a dryer runs for around 30 minutes and shuts off it has reached the maximum operational temperature allowed and is most likely being shut off by the high limit thermostat. This is a safety feature built in to keep from causing a fire due to over heating.

This overheating condition is usually caused by lint buildup in the following areas.

1. The outside dryer vent exit is blocked with lint
2. Flexible vent ducting has lint build-up inside
3. The lint filter in the dryer is restricting airflow
4. The lint filter trap area has a build up of lint restricting airflow across the lint filter.
5. The blower fan / blades / ducting have a lint build up causing low air flow.

Do a tedious insepction for lint buildup and all of the ducting areas that you have access to without disassembly.

Make sure to clean as much of the lint out of the areas that you can see. In the process of cleaning DO NOT use sharp objects to try and free the lint.
If you have to... sacrifice a coat hanger and bend it in half so that it is U shaped to assist you in clearing the lint in stubborn areas.

If you really want to quickly rule out the outside ducting... you can disconnet the Vent hose / duct from the rear of the dryer and then dry a load of clothes. If it does not shut off you know that your external ducting is where the problem lies. Just make sure to reconnect the vent / hose ducting after the test. (Over time can make a large lint mess)

One other thing to check is the dryer door catch to make sure it is not getting weak when the dryer is hot allowing the door open switch to kick off the dryer.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Kelly

Dryer heats clothes but does not dry them

Check the following:

Since you said the dryer heats....

Make sure you have the dryer set to the correct cycle, and not delicate or air only.

Make sure the drying cycle time runs for the set period. If not, the timer may be faulty.

Make sure the dryer is tumbling (the drum is turning). If not, you may have a drive issue like a bad or broken belt, or some other mechanical drive issue.

Make sure the lint screen is clean and the dryer exhaust all the way to the outside of the dwelling is clear and not obstructed with lint or anything else. If you don't feel a pretty good beeze coming out of the wall discharge vent, start looking for a plugged vent.

There could also be an exhaust fan issue with the dryer if the vent line is clear. If this is plugged or not working, the back of the dryer will need to be removed and the cause(s) determined.

Make sure the dryer isn't overloaded and that the clothes aren't too wet when they are placed in the dryer, possibly pointing to a spin dry issue with your washing machine.

My LG Tromm dryer is taking two cycles to dry clothes. They are just not drying completely with one cycle.

make sure that the vent system is clear all the way to the outside. I've seen bird nest in these vents as well as just plain lint build up.
You should feel alot of air coming out when the dryer is running.

LG DLG7188WM runs but no heat

I believe that it does. All of these parts should be functioning properly in order to dry the clothes well.

Kenmore Elite Heavy Duty Dryer 11063012101 Takes Forever to Dry

I think your vent has lint in the line between the wall and the outside of your house not allowing the moisture to get out

FIX

1 when the dryer is running go outside and observe the vent to see if hot air is coming out

2 Turn dryer off, disconnect electric from wall

3 pull dryer out from wall

4 take a nut driver or screw and remove the clamp that attaches the flex vent pipe to the wall

4 Also remove the flex pipe from the dryer

5 Inspect inside vent connection inside dryer for any trapped lint

6 inspect inside flex line for any lint

7 Look inside wall vent for lint you can also reach in with your hand to feel for lint

8 If you have a leaf blower or can borrow one(electric is best) from your neighbor put the snout of the blower into the vent going into the wall seal the area between the snout and the vent pipe at the wall ( i use duct tape you can use wash clothes rags etc

9 start blower and blow any lint in the line out through outside THIS WILL CLEAR THE LINT

10 Reattach the flex to the wall vent and dryer , plug in. run a load and you should be back in business

Good Luck
