DLG0332W LG Propane Dryer. Test mode shows all good except for temperature increase (when intermittently not heating). I cleaned the vents of all lint.
It seems to me that there is a problem with your valve assembly . I would check the connectors to the valves there should be 2 coils in there those do funny things when thy are defective.
Thanks! Do I just check the gas valve assembly for continuity on each valve 1 & 2? Can the assembly be installed or do I have to remove it to test it?
Thanks again for the help. An update: I took off the front panel and started a normal cycle. The ignitor glows, the flame ingnites and then goes out after about 10 seconds. Does this narrow it down at all?

SOURCE: Dryer heats for 10 minutes and turns off
Turn the dryer on, go out to the where the vent exits the house. Feel the air coming out, and it should blow very strong, and for the total diameter of the discharge. If it doesn't, the vent pipe is plugged, or the connection hose from wall to dryer is crimped/collapsed when pushed back to the wall.
Also make sure lint filter is clean, and the grill inside the dryer where hot air enters is clear.
Reply back your findings and I can help you more.
SOURCE: Dryer not heating
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN WORKING ON ANYTHING WITH AC POWER CONNECTED !!
There is at least one thermal cut off switch.
It is a two terminal device usually mounted near the heating element or in/near where the hot air exhaust leaves the dryer.
It
should be closed (shorted) all of the time. It should ONLY open when
dryer overheats. Check it with an ohm meter with AC power disconnected.
It should be a short. If open replace it.
You can also check it with power connected but you must be VERY VERY CAREFUL !!
Connect an AC voltmeter set to read 250 VAC across the switch.
Run the the dryer.
It should measure zero VAC.
If the switch opens it will measure about 220 VAC.
If it opens when it has not overheated, replace the switch.
SOURCE: not heating properly, many cycles to dry loads
Check the following to address this issue--
Note: Normal drying time for a dryer
is about 45 minutes (some may take up to an hour).
1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct,
is not clogged.
Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot
of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying
time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer
cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the
dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance
repairman perform this task.
2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one
of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance.
Replace the defective thermostat.
3. Heating element
A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case
it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes.
Replace the element if found defective.
SOURCE: dryer heat turns off after about 5 min- dyer will remain running but no heat
I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL GAS DRYER THAT SHUT THE HEAT OFF AFTER RUNNING FOR 10 MIN.
SOURCE: dryer not heating
Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail
(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that
might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip
out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave
programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode
showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be
the fault.

Thanks! I bought all the replaceable minor parts (hi limit switch, thermisor, ignitor etc) just in case while I have it disassembled but was hoping it would not be the entire gas valve assembly. Do I just check for continuity within each valve 1 & 2? Does the gas valve assembly have to be removed or can it be installed for the check?
