We loose connectivity to our isp. we maintain connectivity to the wireless router. The lights on the cable modem are on solid with no activity on the pc activity led. So I reset the box (power off for a minute). Then it starts the power up/reboot sequence and only 1 light comes on. I wait about 30 seconds and reset again. This time it completes and we can connect. THis pattern has been going on for about a month. Probably need to reset 3 to 4 times a week. Cable modem going or ISP related?

If you don't have a PPoE password from your ISP, then just connect the ISP modem to the main port on the router. Then connect a PC with a network cable. This should work, if not try connecting the modem directly to the PC to test. If you get internet with just the modem, then try resetting the router.
If the wireless device is working properly the LED's blink when transfering and receiving data. Even when not in use the ISP modem and the wireless device will blink. I would start by Checking ALL cables in the network, verify the cable connections. Have your ISP verify the signal, if necessary have a ISP tech come out to analyze the signal.
