rechecked all wiring and all is o.k.. Long story short, front right burner stayed on and I replaced relay board. All burners did not work and it beeped and flashed f5. research shows to replace clock board. Did that and same outcome. I hope that it is not all burner controls are bad. What do you think?

The fault codes can be found here: http://www.repairclinic.com/0078.asp#Frigidaire

  • the codes depend on what version of stove you have, that is why i used a link to them.
  • double check your wiring and make sure nothing is shorted out or wired incorrectly.
  • all the burners share the same neutral wire so that is where i would look first.

  • if you already checked this and think it is a different problem then let me know, i will help you figure it out.

my assistance has already been rejected, so i don't know if you will get this post. before buying any more parts, check to make sure you are getting a full 220v at the outlet and test each leg (110v) against the neutral and ground wires to make sure they are good too.

when you get a short, like the dead mouse scenario, the breaker might trip on one side of the dual breaker, giving you a machine that seems to have power but does not function properly.

MAYTAG ELECTRIC RANGE F5 ERROR CODE BEEPING

Usually, the constant beeping indicates a problem with a stuck key on the keypad or with the electronic control (clock) board. Sometimes, the beeps indicate an issue with the door closed/locked circuit. Maytag lists the F5 error as a watchdog circuit on the clock assembly control board detecting a problem with the range.

First, try unplugging the range for at least 30 minutes. You may want to check the wiring at the door latch. Also check for a stuck keypad. After that, the solution is to replace the electronic control board and send it off for repair. You may want to consider replacing the appliance. It is expensive and the oven of your range won't be available during the repair. The parts diagram is available at Sears Parts Direct, https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/cre9800ace/3048/0124111.html . The clock is part 14 on the Control Panel diagram and has a substituted RFR-CCS part number. This means that new replacement electronic controls are not available.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Frigidaire f5

Hell Gina, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand you have already tried resetting the range. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit on. Since the error code F5 reappeared, it typically indicates a communication error between the power board and UIB (user interface board). In this case, I would recommend reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part is order and installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect.

Both F1 and F5 are the code for a board failure; it would need to be replaced. What you could try is disconnect the oven for a few minutes and then turn the power back on. If that does not do the trick you would need a board

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F5 means that the control board has failed and to resolve this unfortunately you’ll have to replace the control board. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Error flashing F5

We had a similar problem where F5 was flashing but the burners actually continued to work. It turns out that this was related to moisture (the problem typically happened when boiling water). Adding a strip of aluminum tape inside the back panel seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed).
