SOURCE: My WireLess XBox 360 Controller wont connect to my XBox 360

i had the same problem, and is a easy fix, turn on your console, dont need the controller on, and hold the sync button for approx 30 seconds, then turn the console off, take out the power lead from the console and then remove it from your mains, wait about 1-2 minuts then plug it up and switch on the console, first sync the xbox then the controller, and this should work, if it dosent try xbox support their number is on xbox.com

SOURCE: Xbox 360 wireless controllers won't work

Try this:

hook them up using the play-and-charge usb cable

Then, disconnect the cable.

they should stay synchronized and worked fine after that.

How I fix the xbox 360 controller blinking and sync light problem, when the sync button doesnt work?

Yes, this can be tricky sometimes.

Be close to your console when synching your controllers. As always make sure the controller is on.
You will need to press both the synch button on the console and on the controller approximately the same time. If you have done this correctly. The controllers should have synched to the console in a few seconds.

Here is a link to show you how to do it for the Xbox 360.

Connect controller to your Xbox 360

To synch a Xbox One Controller go to link below here.

Connect wireless Xbox One controller to your console

Also just in case the light is flashing the and the controller is already synched, that means the battery is low and you need to change it out for new batteries.

Hope this has helped and good luck.

Xbox 360 always loses sync with controllers During Fifa it always happens if I hit the post (not during any other part of the game), on Call of Cuty it happens when I fire my gun and during street...

It may have something to do with the controller. After you've had the controller for a while they do tend to degrade and will unsync sometimes.
First of all I would make sure that it is not the controller. Borrow a friends and see if it still unsyncs. If it doesn't then it's time to buy a new one.
Make sure that it is at those exact times. Play the xbox for a long time on something else and then insert call of duty and fire your gun and see if it desyncs. Then resync and walk around for awhile without firing then fire and see if it desyncs. If it does it at these specific times you may have to go to microsoft and see what they say.

Also try replacing the batteries. Sounds stupid but just try it and see. Or try using a different battery pack if you have one.

I was at a friends house and I was playing on the original Xbox 360 with my new Xbox Slim controller now my new xbox slim controller will not connect to my new Xbox? It was working fine before my friend...

Hmmm.....that's sounds weird. The controllers are passive devices. They shouldn't change as far as hardware behavior because they're just that - hardware. Unless the one you have has some sort of CMOS programmable feature? I've never heard of that before. The only recommendation I have is to check the pins on the plug - maybe the old xBox damaged a pin.

Controller will not sync with system. System

First, Make sure you are pressing the sync button on the controller as well as the sync button on the xbox console.
If this does not work I would recommend purchasing a new controller.

My controller will not link with my xbox. it just flashes 4 green lights around the circle. what can i do?

Did you sync it? here's how to sync it:

Step 1: Power on your Xbox 360 console2_bing.gif. In this guide I'm assuming everyone already has their console2_bing.gif hooked up, if not, contact me.

Step 2: Power on Xbox2_bing.gif 360 Controller. Make sure it has a battery pack that has correctly place and working batteries or charged re-chargeable battery pack.

Step 3: Locate the small circular sync button on your controller. It is near where your controller can be plugged in (between the LB and RB).

Step 4: Locate the small circular sync button on your Xbox 360 console. It is next to Memory Unit slot 2.

Step 5: Press and hold the controller sync button until the green power lights start spinning.

Step 6: While your controller lights are still spinning press and hold the console sync button. The console's lights should spin also, then flash, and finally show the player slot light on both the console and the controller.

Viola! You've synced your wireless controller! You can sync up to four controllers.
Also, you can use this guide to sync to different Xbox 360 consoles. So you can bring only your controller to your friend's house.

Note: If you sync your controller to another console, you will have to re-sync it to your own afterwords.

Sync the controller. Press and hold the sync button on the controller, and go over to the Xbox 360 console, and press and hold the Xbox 360 console sync button. Wait for a few seconds or until the controller lights stop blinking. Then test out the controller.
