Came across a link that might be of some use to you, here's what it says:

Get Updates for Your Xbox 360 Console There are three ways to get updates for your Xbox 360 console:
Update through Xbox LIVE. Copy update to a USB Flash Drive. Burn a DVD or CD. Update through Xbox LIVE
Getting the update free on Xbox LIVE is the best option because your console will be automatically updated as new system software is released.
To update your Xbox 360 console on Xbox LIVE, you must have an Xbox LIVE account with either a Gold or Silver membership, and a broadband Ethernet connection.
To update on Xbox LIVE: Connect your Xbox 360 console to your broadband connection. If your console is not connected already, see Connect to Xbox LIVE. Note Your console will be restarted when you join Xbox LIVE, so be sure to save your game progress. Create an Xbox LIVE membership or add one to your offline profile, if you haven't already. Go to the Marketplace area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Join Xbox LIVE. Follow the steps for creating a profile. You can also add an Xbox LIVE membership to an existing profile by selecting Join LIVE from the Xbox LIVE area of the Xbox Dashboard. You may be asked to update the software on your console. Select Yes and wait for the update to finish. Future updates will be installed automatically, as long as you are signed into Xbox LIVE. Copy the Update to a USB Flash Drive
If you don't have an Xbox LIVE account or have a slow Internet connection, using a USB flash drive is a good option.
Note: The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
Update using a USB flash drive:
Connect your USB flash drive to a USB port on your computer. Click here to begin downloading the update folder. Save it as "$SystemUpdate9199.zip" anywhere on your computer. Unzip the File. Copy the contents from the unzipped folder onto the root of your flash drive. Safely remove the flash drive from your computer and plug it into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. If your console is on, turn it off, then back on. The update program will start automatically. Select Yes, update now. When you see the new dashboard, you're done. Burn a DVD or CD
Your other option is to download a file from Xbox.com and burn a DVD or CD. Use this method if you don't have your console connected to broadband, or if you use a dialup connection to the Internet. You could even do this at a friend's house who has a broadband Internet connection and a DVD or CD burner.
To create an update disc you need the following:
A DVD or CD burner. A blank, writeable DVD or CD. The update file from Xbox.com. This procedure involves burning the DVD or CD by using Microsoft Windows DVD or CD burning software. If you're using third-party CD/DVD writing software, follow the instructions for creating a data disc.
The same steps apply whether burning a CD or a DVD.
To create a DVD or CD:
Click here to begin downloading the update folder. Save it as "$SystemUpdate9199.zip" anywhere on your computer. Place a blank disc in your burner. From Windows Explorer, select Open Writable CD Folder Using Windows Explorer or open the CD drive icon. Open (double click) the zipped $SystemUpdate.zip folder and drag the contents of the zipped folder to the root of the CD Folder. If the CD write window doesn't open by default, drag and drop the folder onto the CD/DVD RW drive. Note If you are using an earlier version of Windows you will need to open the file using a separate utility (for example, WinZip). In the Explorer window, click Write files to CD from the CD writing tasks or right-click the CD/DVD RW drive and select Write these files to CD. Caution The update filename and folder structure must be intact for the update to run properly. Follow the steps in the CD wizard. When you are finished with the wizard, the CD will eject. Your CD is ready. To update the console:
Place the CD in the Xbox 360 console.
Power cycle the Xbox 360 console. The update program will start automatically. Select Yes, update now and press A. Wait for the update to complete. When the console reboots, you're done. If this does not work then you need to sand your xbox in to microsoft.
Keep Checking Daily for the new update.

My laptop screen will go blank and then I get a error message that says the nvidia stopped working. How can I fix this is happening more often

Hi there,

It sounds like you have a problem with your nVidia driver on your laptop.

Possible solutions for a fix:

1) Click on your start menu - in the search box type in "windows update" and press enter. This will open windows update. Click check for updates and then open the "optional updates" and see if there is anything for your nVidia driver.

2) If windows does not find an update then you can go to the Samsung website and download the nVidia drivers for your computer from there: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/
Make sure you select the nvidia driver and not the intel graphics driver.

How do i solve the issue of recurring so-called blue screen of death? Also, an online acer forum linked th problem to the crystal eye webcam. Is his true?

You can't Just directly blame to a WEBCAM, because the blue screen can occurs due to some other reason also.

It can happen if you have install any new software or hardware which is not compatible with your system.
It can happen due to a faulty RAM(mostly), You can change the RAM and see if it solves your problem.
It can happen due to VIRUS INFECTION.

  1. The most important STOP error troubleshooting step you can take is to ask yourself what you just did.
Did you just install a new program or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update, etc.? If so, there's a very good chance that the change you made caused the STOP error.
Undo the change you made and test for the blue screen. Depending on what change you made, some solutions might include:

  1. Apply all available Windows service packs and other updates. Microsoft regularly releases patches and service packs for their operating systems that may contain fixes for the cause of your STOP error.
  2. Update drivers for your hardware. Most STOP messages are hardware and driver related so updated drivers could fix the cause of the STOP error.
  3. Check the System and Application logs in Event Viewer (Vista / XP) for errors or warnings that might provide more clues on the cause of the STOP error.
  4. Return hardware settings to default in Device Manager. Unless you have a specific reason to do so, the system resources that an individual piece of hardware is configured to use in Device Manager should be set to default. Non-default hardware settings have been known to cause STOP errors.
  5. Return BIOS settings to their default levels. An overclocked or misconfigured BIOS can cause all sorts of random issues, including STOP errors.
Note: If you've made several customizations to your BIOS settings and don't wish to load the default ones then at least try returning clock speed, voltage settings, and BIOS memory options to their default settings and see if that fixes the STOP error.
  6. Make sure all internal cables, cards, and other components are installed and seated properly. Hardware that's not firmly in place can cause a STOP error so try reseating the following and then test for the STOP message again:
  7. Perform diagnostic tests on all hardware you're able to test. It's highly likely that the root cause of any given STOP error is a failing piece of hardware:
If a test fails, replace the memory or replace the hard drive as soon as possible.
  8. Update your BIOS. In some situations, and outdated BIOS could cause a STOP error due to certain incompatibilities.
  9. Start your PC with essential hardware only. A useful troubleshooting step in many situations, including STOP errors, is to start your computer with the minimum hardware necessary to run the operating system. If your computer starts successfully it proves that one of the removed hardware devices was the cause of the STOP message.
Tip: Typically, the only necessary hardware for starting your PC through to the operating system includes the motherboard, CPU, RAM, primary hard drive, keyboard, video card, and monitor.

System Date error Please check NDS system date

  • The temporary fix is to set your date back a year (or six months) and things will be back temporarily back to normal.
  • To set back the date follow these steps.
  1. Completely remove R4 card.
  2. Touch the screen.
  3. Now you'll see a screen that says Pictochat in one box and DS Download Play in the other.
  4. Press the DS icon located below the two boxes.
  5. Now you will see four more boxes. Click on the blue box that has a calendar in it.
  6. Now click on the calendar icon and set the date back.
  • The reason this is happening (and it has happened to a TON of people) is software incompatibility.
  • The permanent fix is to update your software.
  • This is the link to NDS-Gear R4 card update. http://www.nds-gear.com/software-firmware-kernel-download
  • If your R4 card is from somewhere other than NDS-Gear then just go to their site to update the software.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

I have a Shield Delux 2010 security on my computer and it will not let me add the automatic update when I click on the box it does not remain there. When I click on fix all issues it will not update it...

Most good securety programs will not allow changes to be made to the operating system by outside sources. If you want to update your operating system without interrupting your securety you'll need to download the update you want and then do a manual update.

What is an ArcCon ac application error0xc00000006?

What you describe falls under the general category of svchost.exe issues. Svchost.exe is used by your computer to access the registry and check the services to load during system startup.

arccon.ac is an ArcSoft Connect Notifier. There are two possibilities why its happening:
  1. Microsoft releases regular security updates that are installed automatically on your computer by the Automatic Updates feature, which is enabled by default on your computer. The Svchost.exe Application error usually appears due to a problem with a recent update.
Closing the error message might freeze your computer. To fix this error, perform the following tasks.
  1. Open Control Panel, select Performance and Maintenance, and then select Services.
  2. In the System Properties dialog box, open the Automatic Updates tab.
  3. Next, select the Turn Off Automatic Updates option.
  4. Select Apply and then OK to accept your changes and exit the System Properties dialog box.
  5. Restart your PC.
  6. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and then select the Windows Update command from Start > All Programs to manually update Windows.
  7. After the update is complete, enable the automatic updates again from System Properties > Automatic Updates.
This should rectify your application error. However, if the error keeps reappearing, then you might turn off automatic updates permanently and manually perform Windows updates at regular intervals.

Errors Caused By Virus Infection
Let's hope that this isn't the case. Lengthy procedure but if you are still having trouble, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

  • When you computer comes on, press F2, F4, or Esc key to go into setup. You PC will tell you which button to press, you have to look quickly.
  • There should be an option for memory, it will tell you what is installed.
  • When the computer is updated, see if the error comes up.
For the video card, does your card have a port similar to this:

Then you need a DVI cable, which is an inexpensive cable you can pick up at Radio Shack.
