I need cmos password for acer aspire one zg5

CMOS does not have a factory default password. If there is a password, some person added it to the computer and you would need to ask them what the password is.

Acer not work

Acer Aspire One BIOS Recovery The AA1 has a built-in BIOS recovery routine, making it possible to flash the BIOS even if the system doesn't boot anymore. It's only meant for emergencies and may void your warranty, so use at your own risk.

Follow every step carefully!

First format an USB stick with FAT.

Download the latest BIOS, and put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file in the root directory of the stick. Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD, that's important. Do not remove the USB stick.

Turn the AA1 off, make sure both battery and AC adapter are connected. Press Fn+Esc, keep it pressed and press the power button to turn the AA1 on. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds, the power button will be blinking. Press the power button once. The AA1 will now initiate the BIOS flash, do not interrupt it under any circumstances. After a while the power button will stop blinking, and the AA1 will reboot shortly after. Wait patiently.

The BIOS has been flashed and all settings reset to default.

If for some reason you made a mistake during the procedure and it doesn't reboot by itself wait 5 minutes before turning it off, just to be safe that it isn't still flashing the BIOS.

Download WIN98BOOT.ZIP and HPUSBFORMATTER from the internet normal bootable like a diskette won't work with a usb stick
I had mine 2 months it's a common problem with the notebook.
The onely thing that you have to do is download these programs with someone with a internet connection.

Good luck

Acer black screen

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Acer aspire aoa 150-1570 will not power on

One more possibility: the battery is faulty. Yesterday I put an unknown battery, apparently somehow faulty, in my Acer Aspire One to charge it for my other one with a faulty power connector. The first laptop would not give any indications of life except a blinking orange charging indicator, otherwise the device is completely dead and it doeas not respond to any keys or buttons, not when connected to the wall socket nor without it. Switching batteries helps immediately.

Note sure if you have the steps to manually change your display settings in Windows 7 but the link below will help you do this.

After checking these steps and you still have trouble look to see if Sony has a Vista 32 bit driver for your computer because in most cases the Vista drivers will work with Windows 7.

Let me know if you have any more problems or quesitons

Theres no audio

1st. go the Device Manager (in case you don't know how--click start, then click control panel, then click on System & Security -- I'm assuming you have Windows Vista or 7)-- and listed will be the Device Manager then click here, click on the triangle arrow next to Sound and it should expand giving you information on the system, right click on this information, then click on properties, then you will see where it say Update driver, click here hoping that Windows will auto download updated version)

If this doesn't work, then right click the sound information again, click on properties, click on driver (at this point sometimes the name and model or version number is displayed then write this information down for later use), if no information is displayed then click on driver page and get the information needed.

With this information go the Acer webpage, then support, then drivers & downloads, then click on sound, try to match the info of your computer once you've done this you can download the driver. Sometimes after downloading the driver you may have to open the driver file and open the .exe file or set up file in it to get it started (hopefully you won't have to do this). Hope this helps.

How do i solve the

You can't Just directly blame to a WEBCAM, because the blue screen can occurs due to some other reason also.

It can happen if you have install any new software or hardware which is not compatible with your system.
It can happen due to a faulty RAM(mostly), You can change the RAM and see if it solves your problem.
It can happen due to VIRUS INFECTION.

  1. The most important STOP error troubleshooting step you can take is to ask yourself what you just did.
Did you just install a new program or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update, etc.? If so, there's a very good chance that the change you made caused the STOP error.
Undo the change you made and test for the blue screen. Depending on what change you made, some solutions might include:

  1. Apply all available Windows service packs and other updates. Microsoft regularly releases patches and service packs for their operating systems that may contain fixes for the cause of your STOP error.
  2. Update drivers for your hardware. Most STOP messages are hardware and driver related so updated drivers could fix the cause of the STOP error.
  3. Check the System and Application logs in Event Viewer (Vista / XP) for errors or warnings that might provide more clues on the cause of the STOP error.
  4. Return hardware settings to default in Device Manager. Unless you have a specific reason to do so, the system resources that an individual piece of hardware is configured to use in Device Manager should be set to default. Non-default hardware settings have been known to cause STOP errors.
  5. Return BIOS settings to their default levels. An overclocked or misconfigured BIOS can cause all sorts of random issues, including STOP errors.
Note: If you've made several customizations to your BIOS settings and don't wish to load the default ones then at least try returning clock speed, voltage settings, and BIOS memory options to their default settings and see if that fixes the STOP error.
  6. Make sure all internal cables, cards, and other components are installed and seated properly. Hardware that's not firmly in place can cause a STOP error so try reseating the following and then test for the STOP message again:
  7. Perform diagnostic tests on all hardware you're able to test. It's highly likely that the root cause of any given STOP error is a failing piece of hardware:
If a test fails, replace the memory or replace the hard drive as soon as possible.
  8. Update your BIOS. In some situations, and outdated BIOS could cause a STOP error due to certain incompatibilities.
  9. Start your PC with essential hardware only. A useful troubleshooting step in many situations, including STOP errors, is to start your computer with the minimum hardware necessary to run the operating system. If your computer starts successfully it proves that one of the removed hardware devices was the cause of the STOP message.
Tip: Typically, the only necessary hardware for starting your PC through to the operating system includes the motherboard, CPU, RAM, primary hard drive, keyboard, video card, and monitor.

Atapi.sys is causing me to have blue screens on

Recommending that he wipes his computer might remedy the problem for now , but eventually whatever he installed will (or might) reappear. You idea of enabling things one at a time, is the logical way to root out the cause of the problem. To make it quicker i would enable two or three at a time as doing it one at a time will become very annoying, as i am guessing you have a few programs starting up in windows. Can you reply with what windows version your using and if you recently installed any cd rom or hard drive software? Such as cd/dvd copying software or hard drive management software.
