Looks like you will be forced to check out ebay for a new screen. It is a problem with the processing actually in the screen usually. Check it first with an external screen.

I get a lot of lines going down my screen

Its a dlp rear projection which uses the lamp---possible problem with optical light engine or digital board--set more prone to light engine problems--it displays the picture onto the mirror and processes all picture info in and out of the engine.

Blue line down middle of screen and every time we hit exit it takes us back to main home screen.

if the blue line is always there, than your screen is damaged and will need to be replaced... just time before it'll get worse.

I have a white line vetically down the middle of my screen

This is a problem with your screen caused by excessive use, not turning the computer off or not allowing the display to sleep. More lines will appear if you continue treating it as you have; go into System Preferences --> Energy Saver and change the Display Sleep time to be shorter, like 15 minutes or so and check the "Automatically reduce brightness before display goes to sleep" box. Hopefully it will not get worse or you can live with lines on the screen, otherwise you will need to replace the screen which could cost roughly half or more of the cost of the actual Desktop.

Verticle line down the middle of lcd monitor.

This is a common problem with LCD screens. It is pixel line damage and the screen is permanently damaged and is not repairable. It will probably get worse. The only answer is to replace it

Red line in top corner of screen

Sounds like an IC on the LCD panel went out of TV. Only thing to do is replace panel (it won't go away only get worse) It will probable be cheaper to just get another tv.

Screen not displaying whole letters because of horizontal and vertical lines

I've had the same problem. A temporary fix that I have found is to turn up the contrast all the way (press [2nd] then hold down the up arrow) until the screen becomes mostly black. Then turn the contrast back down (press [2nd] then hold down the down arrow) until it is at a normal level. If you can get rid of all the white lines when you turn up the contrast the screen will be back to normal. Unfortunately this does not permanently fix the problem because I cannot get rid of all the lines and it seems to be getting progressively worse each time it start up the calculator.
