Hi
Most likely a power supply component has aged and thus changed value and/or
failed. Take it to a reputable repair person.

The picture does not come up. Just shades of color
FIRST DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF TV IS HOW TO GO ABOUT TROUBLESHOOTING IT. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR BULB/CRT/SCREEN LCDS MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED OR FIXED OR RE-JUVED. AGAIN THIS ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF TV YOU HAVE.

Why do i have red lines on my philips plasma tv?
if the lines are going horizontally across and look like someone took a thin magic marker and marked across the screen, you have one of two problems, either some scan ic's have failed or you have a flex cable coming loose from the panel. Either way it will require repair. If it is the flex cable the cost to repair will be beyond the tv's worth because the whole panel needs to be changed to fix this. If it turns out to be the scan ic's, they can be changed or the board the ic's are on may be changed depending on how the repair is approched by the tech. But the cost would be reasonable around 200 to 250.
Good luck

Philips Plasma NO LIFE
I had the same problem (with 42FD9954/17S) that when turned on the unit, the green LED turned off and came back to red again some time later. I kept turning it on and once it went to a clicking relay sound and blinking green LED with it. It did that for a while and stayed turned on. I noticed that it is temperature sensitive. Colder the room is more often does it. Used a hair dryer and blown hot air into the unit at the left bottom grills. It helped and started to tun on quicker. Later it has deteriorated so bad that I took it a part and after several ice spraying test showed that on the middle big board (power board) there was an electrolyte condenser went bad. It is the one one which is at the middle, bottom center of the board near the fixing screw. There are two of them (cylindrical objects). The left one was the culprit. However when I fixed it, it turns on immediately but goes blinking red after that. Phillips say it is a static discharge problem. I might blown something when soldering the parts. I don't know what. Any ideas?

Tv switching off on its own without any one tourching it
I have slightly different problem. The TV "switched" off suddenly when I changed the channels too many times. Will need to turn off the main switch power off for a while before the TV can be turned on again. A very irritating and mysterious problem. Wondering if there is any fix to this problem?

Red line in top corner of screen
Sounds like an IC on the LCD panel went out of TV. Only thing to do is replace panel (it won't go away only get worse) It will probable be cheaper to just get another tv.

Philips tv Model - 21PT3525/V7 I want EHT Number ?
The EHT number for a Philips TV model 21PT3525/V7 can vary depending on the specific version of the TV. However, the EHT number for this model is typically BSC25-0235 or BSC25-0217.
It's important to note that replacing the EHT can be a dangerous process, as it involves working with high voltage components. If you're not experienced with electronics repair, it's recommended to seek assistance from a qualified technician who can perform the repair safely and properly.

How do I program my Magnavox universal remote to my Philips Magnavox fw530c mini Hi-Fi stereo
To program your Magnavox universal remote to your Philips Magnavox FW530C mini Hi-Fi stereo, follow these steps:
- Turn on your Philips Magnavox FW530C mini Hi-Fi stereo manually.
- Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your Magnavox remote until the indicator light turns on.
- Press the "Device" button on the remote, which should be the button corresponding to your stereo.
- Enter the 3-digit code for your stereo. You can find a list of codes for Philips Magnavox products in the user manual for your universal remote or online. If you do not have the manual or cannot find the code online, try entering codes 006, 007, 010, 011, 013, 016, 027, 033, 035, 043, 066, 087, 089, 114, 117, 118, 119, 120, or 123.
- Press the "Power" button on the remote to see if the stereo turns off. If it does, you have successfully programmed the remote. If it does not, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code until you find one that works.
- Once you have programmed the remote to control your stereo, test out the other buttons to make sure they work as well (such as volume control, track skip, etc.).
Note: If you cannot find a code that works for your stereo, you can also try the "Code Search" function on the remote. This may take some time, but it will automatically search for the correct code until it finds one that works.
