My dell all in one 922 printer is set up with window's xp and i have a gateway tower now with widow's 7 and want the printer to work with new operating system window's 7

Often, there is a setting in the BIOS.

Other than that, I have not experiments with it.

Here are some suggestions for XP and Windows 7

Turn NUM LOCK on at start up


For Windows 8, there are some instructions:
Num Lock not turned on when booting Windows 8

I assume the old computer was not Vista

at my experience usually i use windows xp driver to applyed to windows 7

Unfortunately you printer is not compatible with Windows 7. If Dell doesn't write drivers for Windows 7 no one ever will.

Hi Phil,

The problem is Dell 922 InkJet will not suppot Windows 7.
The drivers they provide are only meant for Windows 200/XP/Vista.

I assume it still works on XP/Vista...if so, you need to download a new driver for Win 7.

There is no printer incompatible with any operating system, the point is that you must get a compatible driver for windows 7, a windows vista driver could work great with windows 7
