I cannot Format the memory card on my camera,HP photosmart M627. Can you help?

The M627 works with SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

try these:-

• connect it to pc and on it
• vaccum the barrel of lens
• changing mem. card and batt. for 2min.
• shake it.
• on and off in different positions
• hit the part near lens softly with palm (trust me this made mine work)

Is the SD slide protection switch unlocked? You will also need to format the memory card before it will work in your digital camara. Make sure the memory is compatible with your camara (too much memory and it won't work)

We had the same issue - audio but no video on playback on a Win XP pc on both Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. At some stage it suddenly stopped working - I suspect a Windows update?

I've raised a support call with HP regarding this issue.

I also have the same problem, but I found the solution. The camera will only support cards up to 2GB

Have you updated the firmware for the camera? The update is available on the HP website and is relatively easy to do.
