My SE53200GB/01 fails to input water. I have checked the inlet supply hoses and filters and they are clear. I have tried different programmes and they all activate but the water fails to enter the main chamber. Any ideas what may be the problem. Could the Aqua-Stop mechanism have kicked in and if so, how do I rectify it? Thanks

When you start a program, can you hear a motor/pump running? If so, does this continue to run if you open the door without cancelling the wash program?

It would help me if you could describe the sequence of events after starting a wash cycle. Does this describe the problem: 1. Press start and pump starts. 2. Pump continues to run even with door open. 3. No water enters dishwasher and pump continues to run endlessly until the program is cancelled and/or you switch the power off.

Your aquastop system is activated :deactivate by turning off the water supply, running the dishwasher so that it is expecting to fill (if you hold the grey square box at this point, you should feel it slightly vibrating, which is a good sign that it is working ok). Clear the filter in the aquastop. Turn off dishwasher via the reset as per model. Refit valve, turn on supply and check for water tightness. Finally, restart the the d/w and if there was a fauklt with the aquastop ( and not a different fill problem) this process should have reset it. Hope this helps.

    Thanks, Maria

HOW DO I STARTS MY WASHING MACHINE AGAIN CAUSE IT ALWAYS `IE` ERROR EVEN I ALREADY CLEAN THE FILTER,CHECK HOSE,THIS ERROR HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE USE IT MANUAL WHEN NO WATER IN SERVICE,I MEAN HE MANUALLY

The IE or E1 error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve
If you are trying to use the machine manually, there needs to be enough water in the machine to tell the level sensor when to switch off the water inlet solenoid valve. Failing this, the machine will only show IE (Inlet Error) and refuse to work.

My new Miele Washing Machine (Model no WDA 110) is not taking in water. The programme timer counts down but no water comes in thru powder/conditioner. We have checked the installation carefully and

Hi, Jane.
Is the tap on? (Sorry, I had to ask)
Make sure the filters on the inlet valve(s) aren't blocked.
If all is well with the inlet valves you should hear a faint humming. This is normal.
If it's a new machine it would still be under warranty, so you should get a Miele serviceman to check out the problem.
Good Luck

Whirlpool heavy duty super capacity plus machine. Does this model have an water input filter. Water flow is very low while filling.

First you should remove the hoses and clean the screens in the ends of the hose, some hoses have screens in both ends. While the hoses are removed look inside the water inlet valve there should be a screen in there also remove and clean the screen out. Some screens will not be removable so you will need to clean in place or remove the water inlet valve. If all is clear you will need to check the solenoids on the water inlet valve for power. If the solenoid has power when put in a fill cycle and no water eneters your washer you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Most water inlet valves must be replaced as a unit, so if one solenoid fails you replace the hole valve assembly. These are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru the testing procedure. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. If you need help disassembling there are also videos of disassembling most styles. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models will be available. All parts come with installation instructions.

Maytag washer is very slow in filling with cold water. Is there some sort of internal filter?

Yes there is a screen. Remove the hose check the hose for a screen and clean. Also when you remove the hose there should be a screen in the end of the water inlet valve. If all is clear the water inlet valve is failing. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the process of testing the valve. Different model but same testing procedure.

Will not fill up with water

HI. First you will need to check the water fill faucets to make sure that they are turned all the way on.If the faucets are on, then move on to the hoses. Check the hoses for kinks. Make sure the hoses are straight, and not curved. If all checks out Ok here, i would advise to move on to the filter screens.

The hot and cold water from your home is connect to the water inlet valve on the back of the washer. In each end of the water supply hoses there may be a filter screen to catch debris and prevent it from damaging the washer. The water inlet valve also has filter screens. If the filter screens become clogged, the result is low water pressure, no water or the wrong water temperature,as well. The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connecting to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting adequate water pressure and to clear any debris from the line.

Inspect the filter screens on both of the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up. If you find any debris, clean it out. The screens in the inlet valve are not removable so use caution to avoid damaging them.

If you are getting good water pressure and you find no build up of debris, then the inlet valve itself may be faulty.

TESTING PROCEDURE FOR THE WATER VALVE ASSEMBLY

There are two wires connected to each solenoid on the water inlet valve. Label the wires and connections so that you can properly reconnect them later. The wires are connected with slip-on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals ( Be sure to not pull the wires). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced.

Use a continuity tester or multimeter to test for continuity. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1. Touch one probe to each terminal. A reading of infinity indicates a bad solenoid that must be replaced. Different brands and models will have various measurements, but the valve should show some resistance if it is functioning properly. Test the second one in the same way as the first. Replace the valve if it fails the test. If the valve and hoses are ok, this will lead to a failed control sector.(timer, or control board)

NOTE:-(The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer.)

Water will not intake in a Kemore front load washer. Waters is on and we confirmed hoses and water lines clear

Have you removed the hose supplying the machine to check if the filter inside the inlet valve is blocked , or fo that matter is water being supplied down the hose?
Remember that the hose will be under mains pressure so have a towel handy when you remove the connector.
If it is clean then leave the hose off place your finger on the plastic thread of the inlet valve and get someone to set the machine going
You should feel a slight vibration if the coil which switches the water inlet valve on is being activated (Some of them really make a strong buzzing noise)
There is no electricity in that area so do not be frightened to put your finger on it.
If the filter is clean and the coil is buzzing you should get water going into the machine.
If the coil is not buzzing it has gone open circuit and needs replacing.
Worst case is that the programmer has broken (Very rare)

Very little water is flowing in for washing

if the inlet hose is not kinked then turn of water supply to the machine, unscrew inlet hose at the rear of the machine. The may well be a little gauze filter. Check that this filter is clear if there is one. If there isn't one and/ or it is clear and the main water supply presure to the machine is fine then you will need to replace the inlet solenoid on the machine

LF error on my washer

Have you checked the filter screens at the washer inlet valves?
If the hot and cold water supply to the machine is good, and the filter screens on the washer inlet valves are clear..Then the inlet valves have failed and will have to be replaced.
