If Windows Device Manager doesn't deliver try VIEWSONIC.COM. You can find drivers, firmware and manuals there.

Hi! My Viewsonic VA721 LCD Color Monitor's screen is getting darker over time. I've had it for about 5 years. Is it just getting "old" and worn out or is there something I can do to correct...

It can be that the power supply is dying due to bad caps (or worn out backlight lamps) as shown in my pictures here:

It is old monitor so it may not be worth spending on it.

I have viewsonic monitor e70f .. no power in it but the power cable connect .. by check it i found i.c " have 8 legs " damage and its number not clear so i want the number of this i.c

if this IC was damadged, the chopper mosfet (2SK2645) can be shorted the reference of the IC is KA3842

E70fSB main menu keeps on prompting

your monitor low voltage regulator LM7805 inside needs replacement..electrical noise is entering the microcontroller of your monitor..bring the unit to the nearest monitor repair center..

Main menu is going on blinking.

its a problem with the monitor and press and hold the menu button on the monitor and the problem will be resolved

I would check to make sure you have the proper input settings selected and also make sure that the resolution is set properly. If those are good then I think you should try hooking up a different monitor to your laptop and see if that works; if another monitor doesn't work then there's a pretty good chance your VGA output it probably bad.

Viewmeter on Viewsonic crt monitor

just check the power cable from the monitor is connected correctly and plug from cpu to monitor is connected properly be sure is there an loose contact... if it doesnt works means then give reset button in monitor... check the power and frequency control properties in bios .... may be properties is user define or is in maximum saving mode just change it to mininmum saving mode ...it will work...

Problem with 17" ViewSonic Monitor

The same problem w/ my viewsonic E70 17" monitor.The viewmeter or viewmatch color on screen do not appear when power ON, although the green led power is ON.

But if you rest your monitor for about 10 hrs or more the viewmeter will appear when you power ON the monitor.

You can now start your CPU.

Remember : No viewmeter screen on monitor when power ON, means no supply coming out the picture tube or high voltage.

But if there is Viewmeter on screen , this normal and OK>

high resolution may selected press f 8 f 8 contineusly when pc initially on then highlight on safe mode you will see the display

Causes of OSD LOCK
1. The monitor is incompartible with the system unit, especially for newer version units versus older monitors
2.Older monitors display attempting to much up to the improved definition functions of newer system units display an operating system malfunction, interpreted as monitor malfunction instead. OPERATING SYSTEM DISPLAY MALFUNCTION

hardware checks
1. consider changing the graphic card on the system unit after attempting to adjust the appearance settings on the desktop once the computer is powered on.
2.Once changing the graphics card on an old system unit, consider changing the processing chip for reasons of achieving peak performance of the new part installed.
3. Once the fxing of the parts are complete, the monitor would continue to display OSD requiring entire system restart or book. after which, adjusting the appearance setting that should by which time display new list capacities due to the new device changes
