MODEL RSH1FTSW side by side f/f Freezer seems ok but fridge stopped working what Can I do please

Please add the make and model of your fridge. Is it frost free or not?

There should be a vent with a fan between the freezer side and the fridge side. Make sure the vent is fully open and fan running ok

The refrigerator side is at present working properly , but slowly slowly, it will also loose its cooling.This will happen because, freezer side is the side which cools first, then the refrigerator side ( also called as fridge side)., gets cooled.If freezer side is not cooling / freezing properly then fridge side will also loose its cooling ability.------------ And later on both section will loose its cooling.----------- As per the present situation, it indicates problem with compressor or problem with freezer side door not closing properly.---------- Or the temperature in freezer section is not set to proper cooling/ freezing.--------- So first inspect temperature, is it set right? If ok, then check the freezer door , is it properly closed? If ok, then its compressor problem.? We had the same fault on our Samsung American style RSH1DBRS fridge freezer as lots of other people seem to be having. After doing lots of research, we found the best solution seemed to be to buy a repair kit from Appliance DIY Repairs. The instructions were fantastic and the installation was a doddle. Excellent service & well priced.

Your problems are exactally the same as mine. I have taken the freezer back panels off and fornd the elements blocked with ice, the upper and lower channels to the fridge are blocked with ice and obviously therefore no0 cold air is going the fridge, I have de-frosted the freezer and put back together and everything works great for 2 weeks when the same thing accurs. My settings for both fridge and freezer are on the lowest possible, but the wife does fill the freezer with too much food! I guess I need an expert in!!

If the fridge side is frozen you have a door seal issue.
If the freezer side is frozen you have a defrost component issue.
Your post was not clear as to which side is frozen.

power to the house was shut off for repairs, when power was restored the freezer part of the fridge stopped working but the compressor still runs.

Based on your weird display issues I'd lean toward the control board problem. At least that can be "one" of a couple problems...
