1997 Cadillac Eldorado fuel gauge not reading fuel level correctly

Did you test before replacing ? Do you know how it work's ?

Fuel Level
The body control module (PZM) monitors the fuel level sender input in order to determine the current fuel level. The PZM filters the input and sends a message via the Class 2 serial data line. The IPC receives this message and displays the current fuel level. The fuel level is sent from the PZM to the IPC at changes of 0.5 L (0.02 gal) or on the request of the IPC, with a resolution of 0.04 L (0.01 gal).
• For the digital IPC, when the fuel level is above 18.5 gal, the IPC displays an F. For readings between 18.5-2.5 gal, whole gallon/liter numbers are displayed. When the fuel level reaches 3.0 gal the message FUEL LEVEL LOW is displayed on the driver message center. When the fuel level reaches 2.5 gal, the IPC displays an E. When the fuel level is 1.2 gal or below the IPC displays a flashing E.
• For the analog IPC, when the fuel level is above 18.5 gal, the fuel gauge pointer is on F. When the fuel level is below 2.5 gal the fuel gauge pointer moves to E. When the fuel level is below 3.0 gal the IPC displays a FUEL LEVEL LOW message.
If the updates are not received or a communication error is detected, the IPC performs the following actions:
• For the digital IPC, the fuel gauge is dashed.
• For the analog IPC, the fuel gauge pointer moves to E.

Fuel Gage Inaccurate or Inoperative
Circuit Description
The IPC monitors the fuel level sent by the PZM through the class 2 serial data line. The IPC software controls one of the following two gauge types:
• A digital gauge consisting if a two-digit numeric seven-segment display
• An analog gauge consisting of a needle pointer.
The IPC interpolates and scales the fuel level information that the IPC receives from the PZM.
When you operate the vehicle in diagnostic mode, either in the vehicle diagnostic system or with a scan tool connected, the fuel signal supplied to the IPC is not filtered by the PZM. The unfiltered fuel signal causes the IPC to show real time readings and may be mistaken as an erratic fuel level display.
Diagnostic Aids
Connect a scan tool to the DLC.

Konica minolta pagepro 1350w fatal print spooler error?does that mean i need a new toner cartridge or is the damn thing busted?

A 'print spooler' is a range of memory either internal to the printer (sometimes called 'buffer memory') or set aside from the RAM in your system. A fatal error normally means the material you tried to print has been lost and must be sent to the printer again. If the error continues to show up, you may have bad printer memory or perhaps the driver software in your system has gotten stepped on by the operating system and needs to be reinstalled. Windows loves trashing files to keep life exciting.
This problem is not related to the drum or toner cartridge.

Re-installing xp

A cyclic redundancy check (CRC error) is an error checking program that is used to verify data and can be caused by hardware or software. The most common causes are bad CD disk, hard drive or memory. To run diagnostics press and hold the <Fn> key while powering the system on. This will run the Dell Diagnostics. Examine the Windows CD and see if there are any scratches or smudges on the media, try another CD disk if you have one.

Oki c5500n drum reset

To get the OKI C5500 to keep going (without opening and closing the lid constantly) in spite of toner cartridge & drum life messages:

1) Turn off printer.
2) Hold down "+" and "-" buttons at the same time, and keep them held down while turning printer back on... continue to hold until the word "OKIUSER" appears.
3) Use "-" button to scroll down to "FUSE KEEP MODE".
4) Press "Enter" button, hold for approx. 10 seconds, then release.
5) Press "Enter" button again, followed by rapid release and repress with hold for approx. 10 seconds.
6) Release "Enter" button, then press and let up one more time quickly.
7) You will see "INITIALING" and then "ONLINE" messages.

If you currently have an error message for toner cartridge life, the message will continue to be shown until after you've sent one print job, and then it will usually disappear for awhile. It will stay gone for longer if you have your printer set up so the toner sensor is turned off.

If you currently have a error message for drum life, it will continue to appear, but you will still be able to print.

Beware that you will have to keep a closer eye on print quality (since you are no longer relying on error message to tell you when your toner cartridges are in need of a replacement or refill, or the drum truly needs to be changed or refurbished).
Please note that anytime you turn the printer off, you will have to go through the whole process again when you turn it back on. It doesn't take long though, and will quickly become habit whenever turning on your printer for the day!
Good Luck.
