My Sony Playstation 3 is connected by HDMI to a 50" LG plasma screen (1080p). I have issues with blinks in the screen with many games. Some of them are worse than others. Hi there, this tends to be a problem with the HDMI handshake that takes place between the console and the TV. Next time it starts blinking just unplug the HDMI cable (while everything is still on and running) and plug it back in. The HD handshake should be performed automatically by console and TV and hopefully it should stop doing it. You may have to do this each time you use the console, it all depends on whether your TV "remembers" the handshake.
