Error code F1

Oven turns off and error code comes on Fi error code beeps and there is no problem.

  • Anonymous Jun 29, 2008

oven beeps then F1 appears on display. Oven continues to beep until you push "clear" then stops but repeats every 10-15 min (all night long) if oven is idle. I've had to leave my oven on lowest temp (135deg) continuously for it not to happen. I've called Dacor service 3-4 times and have emailed them and never get a response back. I will make sure I never purchase a Dacor product again . . . .

Same problem occured two days ago. Maybe these ovens are talking about going on strike!! We turned our breaker off, that killed the beeping!!

Let us know when you find the F1 Problem.

I had the same problem and found this post:
http://fixitnow.com/wp/2006/03/11/maytag-amana-jenn-air-and-magic-chef-range-f1-codes/

The oven had been cleaned earlier in the day and the touch pad ribbon connector was shorting. I cleaned it with rubbing alchohol and blow dried the whole board for good measure. Hooked everything back up and haven't had a problem since.

I had the same problem first the PRB light would come on then F! for upper then F1 for the lower and it would beep. pressing cancel cleared it for a minute then it would occure again. I pressed and held both cancels at the same time for a minute. Then went to my computer to check for solution. 1/2 hour later still no beeping.

When turning oven on there is a beeping sound and error code F1

Most of the answers are correct, the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) is either damaged or shorted. I've also seen the F1 code come up on the version 2 and 3 units when the temperature probe was shorted. But most likely your EOC is damaged and needs to be replaced. Since you didn't give us a model number we can't give you any more info. Good luck

What causes the beeping sound coming from my Hearthstone propane stove? I bought my Hearthstone propane stove secondhand.

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

I'm getting a constant beeping sound and a F1

The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced

Have roast on burner and it beeped and flashed FI. I pressed cancel and it stopped. Is this something I should be worried about? It is working fine.

F1 touch pad / ERC test This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

F1 error code and constant beeping and oven shuts off.

Hi gwhiz03,

If you are having error code F1 with your Jenn-Air double wall oven this is because you have a defective touch pad or clock (ERC). This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Hope this helps.
